Folks, please consult the Holy Bible to learn how to pray and how not to pray. The following is a prime example of how not to pray. It also clearly reveals, as the Memorare does, that Catholics do pray TO Mary. Remember their Mary is not a typical person! Though imaginary, in their mind she is the sovereign Queen of Heaven and there are none that can withstand her power:
Prayer To The Blessed Virgin (Never Known to Fail). Oh Most Beautiful Flower of Mt. Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh Star of the Sea help me and show me, here You are my Mother. Oh Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in this necessity (make request). There are none that can withstand your power. Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Holy Mary I place this prayer in your hands. Say this prayer three times a day for three consecutive days. (Pittsburgh Catholic, 3-15-13, p. 6)
Did you notice all those Mary titles? Sad, isn’t it? Again, do NOT pray like that. It is grossly unscriptural and empty and will fail. Pray to God. God is Almighty and he hears the prayers of the righteous. God bless you.
