Testifying about the Lord Jesus is a basic and essential part of the Christian life. To acknowledge Jesus before others will result in Jesus acknowledging you before the Father and the angels (Mt. 10:32; Lk. 12:8), just like disowning Jesus before man will cause him to disown you before the Father and his angels (Mt. 10:33; Lk. 12:9). Hence, testifying about Jesus is always very beneficial for the Christian who is testifying as well as the person who is hearing the Bible-based testimony for evangelism purposes. That is escalated as we continue to approach the reign of antichrist and is related to one vital passage about spiritual safeguards for the overcomer. Memorize the following verse, for the truth cited there is absolutely paramount:
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. (Rev 12:11)
If you are still alive when the antichrist rules and the mark of the beast is issued, the society will be much different. To escape the lake of fire you need to be described in Rev. 12:11. That is the only way you will overcome then and to do that the word of your testimony is absolutely essential, just like Jesus’ blood. The difficulty in maintaining your testimony then is implied in the last part of that passage — it will cost you your physical life! You must keep an eternal perspective with death and the Judgment before you. You must be willing to die, as is the norm for martyrs anyway. If your commitment to Jesus now is so shallow, you refrain from testifying about Jesus because someone might laugh or call you a name, you surely won’t stand during that future time, unless you repent and follow Jesus unashamedly. Regardless of the timing of the antichrist, you must be faithful to Jesus to enter God’s Paradise kingdom. You can still go to hell, even if you are a devout Christian now. You must be guarded and hold on to what you have so no man will take your crown (Rev. 3:11). You are battling for eternity. You must endure to the end to be saved (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11).
