Addicted to Masturbation and Fornication

[Bible Question] I committed so much masturbation and fornication, like hundreds of times last year, I no longer feel convicted, drawn or alive in God’s spirit. Have I committed the sin unto death. When I try to pray and fast I feel so empty and distant from God.

[Bible Answer] Your sins are a MULTITUDE, like we read in James 5:19,20, but you can return to God through repentance!

My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a MULTITUDE OF SINS. (James 5:19,20, NASB)

repentant sinnerWhen the prodigal returned to salvation (Luke 15:24) it was after he repented and committed himself to serve the Father. You need to follow his example! Also remember this:

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. (Mark 9:43-48)

You can get set free from your sin addictions. Please see these pages too Backslider God Wants You Back and Plan Of Salvation.

Fell From Heaven

Imagine trying to evangelize in a major city that is extremely engrossed in false religion centering around a female deity! That is what it was like for Paul when he went into Ephesus, but that’s not all! Paul stirred up such a commotion by speaking out God’s truth, that the city broke out in a riot. proud manVarious idol makers got mad because their livelihood took a financial hit and became jeopardized. During the riot, an important detail about Artemis of the Ephesians surfaces! It was commonly, but wrongly, believed there that the image of their pagan female deity, Artemis, fell from heaven:

The city clerk quieted the crowd and said: “Men of Ephesus, doesn’t all the world know that the city of Ephesus is the guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of her image, which fell from heaven? Therefore, since these facts are undeniable, you ought to be quiet and not do anything rash.” (Acts 19:35,36)

The Image That Fell From Heaven Was From Hell

An important spiritual nugget is found in Acts 19:35. Somehow the devil got the rumor started that the idolatrous image of Artemis fell from heaven to give her idolatrous image and the belief surrounding her more credibility. It was undeniable to them! Perhaps the idol makers started the rumor for their own businesses. We don’t know. Nonetheless, Paul did write elsewhere that the devil masquerades as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14). He does that to deceive. Religious deception is the devil’s specialty! That is what was happening in Ephesus, in Paul’s day:

There is danger not only that our trade will lose its good name, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be discredited, and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty. (Acts 19:27)

Since her image and divine majesty is associated with idolatry and idolatry destroys one spiritually, then the image of Artemis, which undeniably fell from heaven, really came from the devil, not God. The word of God was and is a direct clash with idolatry. It was not consistent or tolerant of it. It was dogmatically antithetical.

Mythical Artemis (or Diana) was a Female Virgin

Folks, hold on to your seats! In Catholicism, their mythical fabricated perpetual virgin Mary is also termed Mother of God. She was pronounced that at the Council of Ephesus in 431. That is the same exact city where Artemis (Diana), the female pagan virgin deity, was worshiped and where the common belief back then was that her image fell from heaven! This helps us see how the mythical virgin Mary of Catholicism evolved into its present pagan and destructive image. Apparently, the same demonic influence behind Artemis, which adversely influenced Ephesus in Paul’s day, was still promoting such virgin female pagan worship in 431. The main difference is her name was changed to Mary, the so-called virgin mother of God, which prominently exists today in Roman Catholicism. That Mary (the fabricated Mary of Catholicism) is just as much a religious myth as Artemis of the Ephesians. There is absolutely no basis for either of them in Scripture. In spite of this though, many Catholics are just as zealous for their virgin Mary, who they think is co-reigning in heaven with Jesus, as the Ephesians back then were for their virgin Artemis. Though not official, many Catholics today seem to act as though they think Mary’s image fell from heaven too! They kiss and pray to their Mary before her statue to their own spiritual harm. Catholics even consecrate themselves to that Mary rather than Jesus. Paul’s appropriate message stands, Man-made gods are no gods at all. (Acts 19:26) [Please send this as a blessing to a Catholic friend or acquaintance.]

Past, Present and Future Sins

[Bible Question] I read your page and I am still unsure if I comprehend your theory. In James 2:10 it states “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” I thought Salvation covered all sin: past, present and future, so long as you accept his gift. Am I correct?

Future Sins Forgiven

[Bible Answer]You have cited the wrong reference in support of the false idea that past, present and future sins are all forgiven at the point of salvation. James 2:10 has been misused by the heretics to wrongly teach that all sins are of the same degree, that is, adultery is no worse than worry! Shocking, but that is how they teach! The context of James 2:10 extends to verse 11. Here are both together:

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. (James 2:10,11)

James only said there is more than one way to become a lawbreaker! To be more exact, he said one will become a lawbreaker by committing murder, even if he doesn’t commit adultery. James 5:6 shows some were guilty of murder! Hence, James proved such were lawbreakers.

Future Sins and Initial Salvation

Future sins are NOT forgiven at the point of initial salvation, according to the Bible! Various Scriptures prove that, and they were written by holy men of God who were controlled by the Spirit of God. That means everything about the cross was understood by the Holy Spirit who inspired the writers, yet he didn’t conclude that that meant future sins are forgiven before they are committed. (The cross has been misused by the false teachers.) What Scriptures show our future sins are not forgiven? See 1 John 1:9; Mt. 6:14,15; 2 Peter 1:9; etc. Future sins are not automatically forgiven.

Baptism By Immersion

[Bible Question] I read what you sent [on infant baptism] and looked at the video, but I can’t find where baptism must be by immersion. Can you please sent the bible information on that? Thanks.

[Bible Answer] The problem here is not just immersion, but Christian baptism is to be given ONLY to believers in Jesus, which infants can’t be! ALL Christian baptism related verses easily show the latter. The former is shown by the meaning of the word “baptism” and verses like Acts 8:39, Mt. 3:16 and others:

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. (Acts 8:39)

If sprinkling is baptism why go in the water?Christian baptism by immersion There would be no need to do that. Also notice:

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. (Mat 3:16)

After Jesus was baptized he went up out of the water, showing he was down under the water before that! His baptism was by immersion. [Also, he wasn’t baptized to get his sins forgiven since Jesus never had any sins (2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15; etc.).] Hope this helps and blesses you.

Vision From God and Little gods Doctrine

[Bible Question] Evangelist _______ recently had a very interesting vision….Which is worse, Once Saved Always Saved or the “little Gods doctrine” that Copeland, Crouch, and others teach?

visions[Bible Answer] Greetings in Jesus’ name. The Bible is clear that visions and dreams from God do still occur (Acts 2:17). I accept that. However, a great way for a dangerous deceiver to exalt himself is to say he had a “vision” or “dream” from God, when he had nothing or it was just out of his own imaginations! Similar to that is what some false teachers (like Joseph Prince) say: “the Lord told me …”! These are subtle, self-exalting, clever statements which are highly deceptive and are supportive of one’s whole ministry, church, etc. [If God would speak to a heretic like Joseph Prince, he would be corrected, rebuked and warned!]

Like Paul stated, it is Satan’s “servants” who teach another gospel, another Jesus and/or another Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 11:13-15). I don’t know who ______ is! His doctrines are most important to examine. IF he is in tune with God, he is preaching like the New Testament teaches. If not he is just another servant of the devil, who appears to some to be a servant of God. The acid test question would be good for him to answer to find out, but it is hard to get such people to answer it! You asked, which is worse – Once Saved Always Saved or little gods doctrine. The answer is Once Saved Always Saved, which is the established and embraced “gospel” of our day! Grace is also equated with Once Saved Always Saved! It has spread from the Baptists to others who once stood steadfastly against it, but are NOW teaching this lie from hell, like many Pentecostal, Nazarene and Methodist denominations! David Wilkerson is an example of a prominent teacher who changed and started to teach a license to sin! Once Saved Always Saved is the devil’s masterpiece doctrine. It is his supreme chef-d’oeuvre and has sent more to hell than the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons combined! [Little gods doctrine is also FALSE, but OSAS is worse.] Hope that answers you. God bless you….Remember 1 Tim. 4:16.

Twice Lost Always Lost

[Bible Question] Greetings. I am interested in your beliefs on Hebrews 6:1-6. The Bible teaches: We are to walk in the Light. We do not commit sin. But then the bible says, “if we say we don’t have sin, the truth is not in us.” So we will sin, but we have to confess and repent and grow. If we continue to walk in the flesh, and ignore the “tugging at our hearts.” Eventually, our “light will go out” and we will die. And once that happens, coming back is impossible. So, I wonder if you can only die spiritually once. As it warns in Hebrews 6:4-6 at which point, it is impossible to come back. What are your thoughts? In other words, is everybody wrong – both you, and the eternal security teachers. You can only die once. Then its over! Twice dead, plucked up by the roots. Remember Hebrews 6:4-6.

[Bible Answer] You believe “twice lost always lost.” If that was true then King David, Peter all the other original Twelve who disowned Jesus, went to hell, but before they did God used them to write the New Testament! Does that seem possible? Also, Jesus taught the Prodigal son got saved again (Luke 15:24). James also taught that is possible (James 5:19,20) as did Paul (Rom. 11:19-23).

NOTE: In some cases, one can lose his salvation QUICKLY with one sin, according to the Bible. The ones referred to in Heb. 6:4-6 committed eternal sin, which means their extreme sin was most unique and different. It was NOT like David’s sin, or Peter’s or the Prodigal’s, etc. They could all return to salvation again and did, but those in Heb. 6:4-6 couldn’t. Twice lost always lost is false and its implications are a license to sin.

Note: The Bible says IF in 1 John 1:7, “But IF we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” Also, all sin is NOT of the same degree.  Consult The Believer’s Conditional Security for much more salvation related truths. Remember Heb. 3:14. God bless you.

Calvinism and Eternal Security

[Bible Comment from a Calvinist] This individual writing on Calvinism does not understand the doctrine at all. Frankly, to suggest things such as David not being “saved” when he committed murder and adultery is to malign scripture. I was born and raised charismatic. I hated Calvinism, but I’m now reformed. This guy talks a lot on losing salvation. To suggest that is to ignore what came from the mouth of Christ in John 10:27. He said that none that are His can ever be snatched-none can perish. Ephesians 1 tells us that the Holy Spirit seals us and is the guarantee of our inheritance. Seriously, the guy writing about this stuff doesn’t deal with vital verses and bases everything on his own arrogance and preconceived notions. You can’t lose what you didn’t deserve in the first place-i.e. salvation. Truly sad.

[Bible Answer] Greetings in Jesus’ name. Just like other Calvinists, you too are indirectly saying that there are murderers and adulterers who are saved (by denying King David lost his salvation), which is violently contrasted with Scripture (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8; etc.). You fail the acid test question There is nothing anywhere in the entire Bible, including John 10:27-29, which supports Christian adulterers, Christian murderers, etc. That wonderful passage and promise in John 10:27-29 is only for the FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS of Jesus, not backsliders! It says in verse 27, that the recipients of the promises “follow” Jesus, that is, they OBEY Jesus [which David didn’t do at that point in his life]. The seal of the Holy Spirit does NOT teach eternal security either.

These Bible truths are not arrogance or ignorance of Calvinism. They are salvation related truths. A Christian must endure to the end for SALVATION, that is, to enter God’s kingdom (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11). Over 100 typical arguments used for eternal security have been answered in our 801 page book (The Believer’s Conditional Security).

Mother Teresa

The famous Catholic nun, Mother Teresa (1910-1997), has recently come under fire for her supposed less than sufficient caring for the sick, since she did not lack finances to do more:

Mother Teresa’s biggest supposed sin? According to the Times of India, it was “her dubious way of caring for the sick by glorifying their suffering instead of relieving it.” (http://news.yahoo.com)

If that allegation is true or not, without doubt something much worse than any negligence of the sick (which has only a temporal effect) was Mother Teresa’s Catholic doctrines. Catholicism is flagrantly in open heresy over and over again! mother teresa and pope john paul IIFrom its:

Catholic deception is apparent to one who knows the Bible, yet Mother Teresa endorsed all those Catholic teachings and practices by being a faithful Catholic herself. By bolstering the overall image of Roman Catholicism, she actually did much harm to precious souls which might have found true salvation and eternal life through repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21). Mother Teresa was only a Catholic nun, who became very famous around the world because of her work with the poor and destitute in India. She was not doctrinally sound and had no evidence of being a Bible-defined Christian. God bless you. [AP Photo.]

Santa Muerte, the Skeleton Saint

There exists many demonically strange religious beliefs throughout the world. santa muerte skeleton saint holy deathSome are absolutely shocking, yet can be faithfully practiced by sincere religious people! Without the light (truth) from God’s word, we are all susceptible, without exception, to such weird satanic deception. One such example is Santa Muerte, the Skeleton Saint, the once underground saint. This grotesque skeleton figurine has a strange allurement for Catholics, who are used to praying to Mary, the saints and angels anyway:

The saint is especially popular among Mexican-American Catholics, rivaling that of St. Jude and La Virgen de Guadalupe as a favorite for miracle requests, even as the Catholic Church in Mexico denounces Santa Muerte as satanic, experts say. (http://www.nydailynews.com)

Catholics (and others) are praying to La Santa Muerte, the Skeleton Saint, instead of to God! Extraordinary attraction to such a vile looking statue is occurring even in the United States, proving once again that America is far from being in alignment with God’s word and wickedness is spreading worldwide (Mt. 24:12). There even exists rosary beads and prayer cards associated with Santa Muerte (also called Holy Death). The violent drug trade is also involved with praying to Santa Muerte! Specifically their desires are for help:

  • fighting off those seeking vengeance
  • finding jobs
  • keeping away cops and
  • safely shipping illegal narcotics

From Criminals to “Good People”

A US marshal said this:

“Criminals pray to La Santa Muerte to protect them from law enforcement,” Almonte said. “But there are good people who pray to her who aren’t involved in any criminal activity so we have to be careful.” (.ibid)

The need to evangelize the nearly one billion Catholics scattered throughout the world, including the USA is apparent, but at the same time there remain respected people like Billy Graham, Pat Robertson and Jack Van Impe who imply Catholicism is a Christian religious system! As a former Catholic and present tense follower of Jesus, such ungodly compromise must stop for the sake of SOULS. That is not being divisive or cruel. It is being faithful to God and loving religiously deceived Catholic people on the road to hell enough to tell them the truth to aid their greatest need — inheriting eternal life. If you’re a Christian, share the gospel truth with Catholics and all others. It will be good for you and them.

Vital Signs

Vital Signs Of Life

Physically speaking, there are definite vital signs of life. If those signs of life are absent, the person is dead. That in turn will lead to tissue decay, rigor mortis and a drop in body temperature. On the other hand, if the person is alive, the vital signs will indicate life. Such vital signs include a heart beat, blood pressure and breathing.

Spiritual Vital Signs

Just like there are vital signs in the natural, spiritual vital signs also exist!vital signs of life If a person has eternal life he also has been set free from his sin addictions (Rom. 6:22) and found rest for his soul (Mt. 11:29). If that did previously describe you, but no longer does, you are no longer saved (2 Pet. 2:20-22). Also, if one is alive in Christ he will have the Holy Spirit within his physical body. That makes his body the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 3:16,17) and he is a person with holy interests, as described in the Bible. In fact, he will love God’s word and feed off of it (Mt. 4:4). Furthermore, since the words of our mouth reflect our heart (Mt. 12:34), a person who is alive in Christ will speak about spiritual matters. His ambitions will be geared to the will of God. In fact, his whole life centers around God and doing his will first. Such a person has counted the cost to be the Lord’s disciple (Luke 14:26-33) and is paying it. It will be apparent he is, especially in our dark antichrist society, because his spiritual light will be shining. Because he is alive in Christ, his godly living will bring on persecution from the children of the devil. He will also love the Christian brotherhood (1 John 3:14).

Spiritual Death

Just like physical death, spiritual death also occurs to righteous people who turn to evil (Ezek. 18:24; 33:18; etc.).NO vital signs of life If that happens to a person once saved, that backslider is then likened to a dog that returns to its vomit. Just as tragedies in the natural occur, spiritual tragedies also occur. Hence, we are repeatedly warned about different dangers, including hell, and told to be afraid (Rom. 11:20) and keep our lamps burning. To disregard such wholesome advice is to invite trouble and death. QUESTION: Are you NOW displaying those vital signs of being alive in Christ? If you are alive spiritually, people around you will know it, just like in the natural! Both types of heart disease is apparent – the natural and spiritual!
