The Invisible God Does Exist

Jesus said God is spirit (John 4:24). Because he is, God is also invisible (1 Tim. 1:17; Col. 1:15). That trait makes some people disbelieve that such an invisible God can exist at all just because he is invisible and they have never seen him. If like most people, the same disbelieving people would realize that they also believe in an invisible law of gravity, an invisible emotion called love and other invisible things, then perhaps they would be one giant step closer to eternal life and truth.

Logically, it is impossible for a person to be an atheist!  Why?  Because to say there is no invisible God anywhere is to imply you have looked everywhere in the universe where God could possibly be and examined all possible ways the infinite invisible God could leave evidence behind of his own existence. Since these are both impossibilities for any person, then God might exist after all, even though such a disbelieving person has never seen him.

The evidence for the invisible God is mostly indirect, but far from a blind leap of faith and beyond rational belief. For example, if after a snowy night a person looked out into his yard and saw footprints around his car, he would know someone was by his car, even though he didn’t see him. The evidence in the snow proves someone was by his car. Similarly, God’s awesome and diverse creation is shouting out a definite message through design that he exists.

The Bible and the Invisible God

The Bible, with its many fulfilled prophecies, proves God exists and that the Bible was divinely inspired. God is omniscient. He knows the future perfectly with exact precision and therefore has foretold events through his prophets before they occurred. While such fulfilled prophecies imply the existence of the invisible God, the same word of God tells us how to get set free from our many sin addictions. The slavery to sin non-Christians are in holds them in bondage and death, while they blindly think they are free!  It is only the Lord Jesus Christ who can set sin slaves free upon sincere and humble repentance and a sincere faith which commits to follow and obeys the Lord Jesus in this wicked world.

The invisible God exists if we believe it or not! He is also a holy God and one to be feared for our own good. He alone has power to destroy both soul and body in hell (Mt. 10:28).

Hero Teens Lift Tractor Off Dad Through Prayer

Jeff Smith nearly went for the last ride of his life on his 1949 tractor last week. His muddy boots slipped while adjusting the clutch and he became pinned underneath the tractor. In this helpless condition, all he could do was scream for his daughters since emergency services were at least 20 minutes away. The daughters couldn’t pull him out so they grabbed onto the tractor and lifted it just enough for him to slip out after one daughter cried out, “God help me” over and over because she knew she could not lift the 3,000 pounds herself.

Mockers

According to the Bible, there are at least two types of mockers and neither is properly defined in a secular dictionary. mocker For example the typical definition of a mocker is:

To treat with ridicule or contempt; deride. To mimic, as in sport or derision. See Synonyms at ridicule. (Free Online Dictionary)

The Mocker In Proverbs

Proverbs mentions various types of people and their characteristics. When we come to the mocker in Prov. 22:10 we read:

Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.

Much more is mentioned here:

The proud and arrogant man — “Mocker” is his name; he behaves with overweening pride.  (Prov 21:24)

A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise.  (Prov 15:12)

Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.  (Prov 9:8)

The mocker of Proverbs is:

  • contentious,
  • quarrelsome,
  • insulting,
  • proud and arrogant,
  • resents corrections,
  • doesn’t consult the wise,
  • becomes hateful when rebuked.

The Mocker In Galatians

The mocker in the Book of Galatians attempts to mock God! He tries to mock God by thinking he will reap eternal life, instead of destruction, even though he is sowing to please his sinful nature:

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. mocker The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:7-9)

Gal. 6:8,9 is a salvation passage few know about and it clearly reveals the once saved always saved proponents as mockers!  Such people actually think they can commit adultery, lie, steal, get drunk, swindle, etc. and still reap eternal life in the end because they were once saved. ALL eternal security advocates indirectly state this when they describe their twisted version of the sin unto death. As bad as it is to be the type of mocker described in Proverbs, the attempted God mocker seems to be worse and in our day is directly linked to the false gospel of eternal security and those deceived by it.

Burn The $5,000,000

Some meaty Bible nuggets are stated in a way in which they can be easily missed!  In Acts 19:18-20 we have such a case. The setting is Ephesus and the timing is when Paul was there. burn books burn moneyEphesus was a stronghold for both sorcery and Artemis idolatry. After the seven sons of Sceva incident, involving a demon possessed man, we read:

Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power. (Acts 19:18-20)

It says the calculated value of the scrolls came to fifty thousand drachmas! That is a figure which can easily escape us. Since one drachma is estimated to be equal to one denarius, a day’s wage (Mt. 20:2), then in our hour it could be estimated that one drachma would be equal to $100. If we multiply that times 50,000, the result is $5,000,000!  Ponder that figure and remember those sorcery books went up in smoke, but why?

Don’t Stumble Another Into Sin

Unlike multitudes of ministers in our day, Paul had those witchcraft books, valued at 50,000 drachmas ($5,000,000), burned!  Why? If they were sold the money could have been used to spread the gospel, feed the poor Christians, etc.  While that is fact, it is also true that those witchcraft books would have spiritually ensnared precious souls they had been sold to. See Luke 17:1-3. Because of that, the books worth $5,000,000 were rightly burned so no one else could be hurt by the material therein contained.  Just throwing them away wasn’t good enough. They needed to be burned so that no one could read them.

Too Many In Our Day

I can imagine how many professing Christians in our hour, if placed in that same situation as Paul, would have wrongly sold the witchcraft books to get their hands on the money! Perhaps they would have tried to justify their actions with excuses like the following:

    • People will buy these kinds of witchcraft books from someone anyway. It might as well be us, so we can then use the money for God’s kingdom.
    • This is the answer to my hundredfold return promise I have been believing God for. So, yes, let’s quickly sell those witchcraft books so I can get my hands on the money.  I need a new private jet for my ministry.
    • We can always confess our sin of selling these witchcraft books to others after we get the $5,000,000, so let’s do it quick! That is too much money to pass up! We can always repent later.
    •  We’re under grace not law, so let’s sell these valuable books and use the money for the Lord’s work. Time is wasting.
    • As Charles Stanley would say, our future sins are all already forgiven. With $5,000,000 we can buy that new church building with the high steeple, stained glass windows and padded pews we always wanted.

Money has always been a temptation, but those walking in the fear of God have resisted the devil! Paul is a shining example here. Dear reader, if you were in Paul’s situation, would you have done the same so others would not be hurt spiritually? If not, then you need to change! God bless you.

Gambling Addicted Catholic Nun

Mary Ann RappIt is one thing to be addicted to gambling, but another thing to also be a thief to support it! Catholic nun, Sister Mary Anne Rapp, 68, stole about $128,000 from two churches in New York to gamble. What is the cure for such a sin addiction? It depends on the source you consult. The report stated, “she underwent treatment for gambling addiction.” Whatever that entails secularly, it will not accomplish the job for Mary Anne Rapp because she has a spiritual problem. The underlying problem for Mary Anne Rapp is sin. That means she needs a spiritual cure. The only remedy for such is the blood of Jesus Christ which washes a repentant sinner clean and frees him/her from their addictions.

Mary Anne Rapp is like hundreds of millions of religious people globally. Though a Catholic nun, she shares the same underlying spiritual need with billions of others, that is, true salvation. Since the Catholic church has misinformed her that infant baptism is when a person is born again, she has probably never learned the truth about this Biblical term. Just like the Hindus, who sadly think they can wash away their sins in the Gange river, Catholics too have been duped spiritually. People need Bible truth, not a religious myth, to find freedom from sin addictions and eternal life. Such an experience is the surest way to know you have become a new creation in Christ and have been born again. God bless you.

Dave Hunt Has Died

Dave HuntDave Hunt is dead. He died on April 5, 2013 in his eighties. He was a hero figure for many professing Christians, especially since he shot into stardom with the book opposing the faith movement and the gospel of greed. His research was notable, but NOT always accurate! Dave Hunt’s massive distortion and misrepresentation of James Arminius’ supposed belief in eternal security was reprehensible and repulsive. It seems that Dave Hunt was trying to convince his audience that he himself was a true Arminian, who believed in eternal security like James Arminius supposedly did and, therefore, he was not a Calvinist! He was wrong. Dave Hunt was a one point Calvinist, who distorted grace into a license to sin and also supported a pre-tribulation rapture.

Dave Hunt Notably Changed on Catholicism

The most commendable thing I have noticed about Dave Hunt was that he changed his position on Roman Catholicism.  In fact, he did a 180 degree change to his credit. At one time, Dave Hunt publicly defended Catholicism as a Christian group, but later reversed his teachings on Catholicism to openly oppose it! Dave Hunt is the only big name I know who has ever made such a significant and noble change as that!

Dave Hunt’s Great Religious Influence

Bottom line, though Dave Hunt influenced hundreds of thousands with his books and other teachings, he mixed in the heretical doctrine of once saved always saved to his own shame and harm, as well as his supporters. He has been a major support of that counterfeit grace for years. He, sadly, wouldn’t be swayed from such a license to sin in spite of all the mountainous Scriptural evidence against it and NO solid evidence from Scripture for support. His endorsement and promotion of Laurence Vance shows how far off Dave Hunt was in that area about the Christian life. By teaching wrongly about salvation itself, his entire Berean Call countercult ministry, which was supposed to expose deception in the church, was ruined on that point alone. Dave Hunt himself was part of the deception in the so-called church, which he was supposed to counter.

It’s too late for Dave Hunt now. There is no evidence he ever renounced the fifth point of Calvinism to embrace the truth of a conditional security for the believer in Christ. That means Dave Hunt left this world as a one point Calvinist and left a legacy behind him through his successor, T. A. McMahon, which will continue to fatally snare people about reaping eternal life without holy living (Gal. 6:8,9). I once met T. A. McMahon in Ohio and had a brief discussion with him about eternal security before he walked away. I asked him if he believed a person can be a Christian and an adulterer at the same time and he said, “You know I do!” So the Berean Call was fatally flawed when Dave Hunt was alive and is now in the hands of a man who will probably keep it the same way to the harm of SOULS. The debunking countercult ministry of Berean Call needs to be debunked by Christians for the sake of all who have ears to hear!

Shain Gandee – OSAS “Christian” Of Our Day

The churches in our hour have only an empty, powerless form of godliness. They are ruined. shain gandeeProfessing Christian, Shain Gandee, is even more proof. Shain Gandee, 21, was found dead with two others. They were last seen leaving a bar at 3 AM. Shain Gandee was a carousing and cussing TV star, but also a “baptized Christian”! He said, “I know when I die I’m going to heaven”:

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — For all his on-camera carousing and cussing, “BUCKWILD” reality TV star Shain Gandee was a publicly proclaimed and baptized Christian, and his mother told hundreds of mourners Sunday that she will see him again.

“I know where Shain is,” Loretta Gandee told the family, friends and fans crammed into the Charleston Municipal Auditorium. “He said about a month ago, ‘I know when I die I’m going to heaven.'”

Dressed in a hot-pink “Gandee Candy” T-shirt and jeans, she spoke only a few words but bellowed out an unaccompanied hymn, her voice echoing through the auditorium in prayer for their reunion.

Gandee, his 48-year-old uncle, David Gandee, and 27-year-old friend Donald Robert Myers were found dead April 1 in a sport utility vehicle that was partially submerged in a deep mud pit near Sissonville. They had last been seen leaving a bar at 3 a.m. (http://tv.yahoo.com/news/mom-buckwild-star-christian-now-heaven-201147426.html)

Though it is not crystal clear in the above quote, the statement, I know when I die I’m going to heaven, is the voice of an eternal security proponent! The fruit of Shain Gandee’s spiritual life is rotten and diseased, but too common in our day. Like multitudes of others, Shain Gandee is a spiritual tragedy of a wasted life. He would have been much better off NOT going to any church than going to one which misled him about the vital need of holiness and heart purity to enter God’s kingdom. 1 Cor. 6:9,10, James 4:4 and Rev. 21:8 would have been good memory passages for him.

Shain Gandee’s Friend Said, See ya drunk

Rick Sater was Shain Gandee’s friend. His last words to Shain Gandee, one week before his death, were “See ya drunk.”

Sater has known Shain since middle school and last saw him a week ago, when he came over to borrow a pin for a trailer hitch.

“He said, ‘See ya, Rick!’ and I said, ‘See ya, drunk!” recalled Sater, who got the terrible news days later in a phone call. (ibid.)

WOLF “Rev.” Randy Campbell

The Rev. Randy Campbell told the many young people in the crowd he understands that life bombards them with difficult choices. But he urged them to follow Shain Gandee’s lead and embrace their faith now, while they are energetic and engaged. (ibid.)

HERETIC Rev. Randy Campbell apparently thinks drunkard Shain Gandee was exemplary, when the truth is Gandee was deceived, immoral and worldly.

Since Shain Gandee was last seen leaving a bar at 3 AM, was called a drunk by his long time friend and thought he was going to heaven, he might have been familiar with this following Old Irish Toast by George Bernard Shaw:

When we drink, we get drunk;

When we get drunk we fall asleep,

When we fall asleep, we commit no sin;

When we commit no sin, we go to heaven;

So let’s all get drunk and go to heaven!

Rick Warren’s Son Commits Suicide

Famous Rick Warren who wrote, The Purpose Driven Life and taught eternal security, has lost his son to suicide. matthew warren suicide(See picture to right. Photo Courtesy Saddleback Church.) Could it be that the spiritual snare of eternal security led to his suicide, as it has others? Do you remember George Sodini? Sodini murdered others then committed suicide, as he also wrongly thought he’d go to heaven afterwards because of that same false teaching and heresy!

Matthew Warren, 27, is said to have suffered from lifelong mental illness, but was also a once saved always saved proponent. That lead to the following revealing conversation he had with Rick Warren, who stated:

“I’ll never forget how, many years ago, after another approach had failed to give relief, Matthew said, ‘Dad, I know I’m going to heaven. Why can’t I just die and end this pain?'” Warren wrote. “But he kept going for another decade.” (http://gma.yahoo.com/pastor-rick-warrens-son-commits-suicide-210804226–abc-news-topstories.html?pt=bureof2gvb?date=20220706)

The teaching of eternal security is a spiritual time bomb. There is no way for any human to calculate how many eternal security proponents have personally suffered over that teaching in this life and later in hell. As we have been saying for years, eternal security leads to:

Though the eternal security teachers have gotten rich and popular by changing grace into a license to sin, they have also laid a deadly snare before their followers, including their own beloved families!  One can only wonder if Matthew Warren would still be alive, if he knew the truth about the Christian life and what happens to a suicide?  May all eternal security teachers take warning and learn from this tragedy associated with Rick Warren’s son!

The Fortune Teller

In our dark society, witchcraft is not looked upon as the wicked abomination and filthy sin that it is (Rev. 21:8)! Witchcraft has been glamorized and children have been duped by the fictitious character Harry Potter and the Ouija board to think it is harmless. psychicFurthermore, many apostate church people ignorantly seek out fortune tellers! People need to know the demonic influence behind witchcraft and specifically fortune telling. Acts 16:16-18 gives us a spiritual look at it as we observe the fortune teller of Philippi:

Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her. (Acts 16:16-18)

Demonic Possession

That fortune teller was possessed by a demon, by which she predicted the future! That reveals the devil’s ability to know the future to some degree. Furthermore, that fortune teller probably appeared normal looking or people would have been too frightened to consult her. One of the main observations is, what did the demon possessed fortune teller say? That is very confusing because most popular English translations of the Bible have translated it wrongly! It has been wrongly translated in the KJV, NKJV, NIV, etc.! The Greek does NOT say the way to be saved. It says a way to be saved, which clarifies everything! Besides Young’s and a few others, the following translation correctly says a way of salvation:

While she followed Paul and us, she would cry out, “These men are slaves of the Most High God, who proclaim to you a way of salvation.” (NRSV)

The demons want us to believe the narrow road to life through the Lord Jesus is wider than it actually is. The demon was saying that Paul and Silas were teaching Jesus Christ is NOT the only way to be saved (as is shown in John 14:6; Acts 4:12 and 1 Tim. 2:5), but just one of the ways! That is definitely a type of doctrine of demons, but certainly not the only type.

Also notice how religious demons can be. Here the demon didn’t deny one can be saved, that God exists, etc. Instead, the demon possessed fortune teller spoke falsely about salvation. That makes that fortune teller, with the demon, a type of false teacher.

Paul cast the demon out of that fortune teller and her money-making abilities were gone. Paul didn’t use holy water, a cross or anything other than the holy name of Jesus Christ to cast the demon out with a command. Christians have power over demons in the name of Jesus Christ. Some people focus on demons and get off on a tangent, especially people in so-called deliverance ministries. Remember these truths the next time you think of Harry Potter, the Ouija board, dungeon and dragons or a fortune teller! Remember the sin of sorcery will drag you to the lake of fire, unless you get forgiven in a Biblical way. [Read this personal testimony of a former witch.]
