Calvary Chapel’s Bob Coy and His Sexual Immorality

Bob Coy started a Calvary Chapel congregation in Ft. Lauderdale, FL about 30 years ago. It grew into a mega church (with about 20,000 attending), but that surely didn’t mean the senior pastor himself was living holy and upright!bob coy Church growth never proves that for any so-called “successful” minister! Lustful pornography adultery (Mt. 5:28,29) was a sin addiction for Bob Coy [photo by Joni B. Hannigan], but that was not all:

A new lead pastor for Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale was announced Wednesday to replace founding pastor Bob Coy following his resignation after admitting to moral failure last month. However, Outreach Pastor Chet Lowe was more specific about Coy’s demise, when he told the congregation during a worship service in April that the pastor had committed “adultery with more than one woman” and “sexual immorality, habitually, through pornography.” (http://www.christianpost.com/news/calvary-chapel-fort-lauderdale-names-new-pastor-to-replace-bob-coy-after-resigning-over-moral-failure-119381/)

Calvary Chapel is not a Biblically sound group, even though many people wrongly think it is. Why? Because eternal security is not a Christian teaching. The Bob Coy incident will surely hurt some real Christians. Being victorious over sexual addiction is assured, if one will only get dead serious about following the Biblical guidelines for such. Bob Coy didn’t have to yield to such wickedness; neither did Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart or Jim Bakker! Jesus can set anyone free from his sin addictions, if he follows the Lord!

Sexual addictions of various types seem far too commonplace among exalted church leaders in our dark day. The righteous need to know that it is impossible to have eternal life and be addicted to sexual sin at the same time (Gal. 6:8,9; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; etc.)! “Pastor” Bob Coy was a child of the devil (1 John 3:10; 1 Cor. 6:9,10) as he preached sermons to his mega congregation! That fact, however, is flatly opposed by the demonic lie of eternal security, which allows for Christian adulterers, Christian drunks, etc. The George Sodini incident also allows for unrepentant Christian murderers! Some even think the BTK serial murderer was demon possessed yet Christian!

Also, there are NO special spiritual privileges for Bible teachers, except that our judgment will be more strict (James 3:1)! Finally, it is also interesting to note that there is no hint that Judas Iscariot, who went to hell after he committed suicide (Mk. 14:21), was not sound doctrinally. Therefore, just being doctrinally sound is NOT good enough. One must follow Jesus in the present tense to have eternal life presently. Do not be deceived or disheartened by Bob Coy’s adultery, and be assured there are no Christian adulterers. Perhaps, Bob Coy will become a Christian. May that be the case. The ET Gospel According To Erich Von Daniken

Our world is filled with strange ideas and peculiar people, who invariably, in one way or another, have attacked the Biblical message. One such person is Erich Von Däniken. erich von danikenShockingly, Erich Von Däniken has written various books related to UFOs and aliens, with a total distribution of 63 million copies being translated into 28 languages! His attacks on the Bible have been indirect, but still a serious assault. He refers to scripture at times, but wrenches the verse(s) out of context to fit his strange ET theories. One can only wonder how many people have been spiritually hurt by Erich Von Däniken’s convoluted scripture twisting. Listen for yourself to the two following MP3 audio excerpts from the Russell Scott Show, as Erich Von Däniken shares his outlandish teachings and ET gospel:

Erich Von Däniken’s ET Gospel Declares ETs Altered The Human Race

[Russel Scott] It is my understanding that you believe that the DNA of the human species was altered by ETs.et gospel

[Erich Von Däniken] Yah.

[Russel Scott] Now there is a lot of concern today about GMO foods, but you are saying we are in fact GMO people.

[Erich Von Däniken] Well, you see I have the knowledge of antique books. Now, everyone in our society who is educated as a Christian knows the Bible. And in the Bible, at the beginning, Moses 1:6, they say when the sons of the gods saw that the daughters of the humans were beauty they took them to wife. That is one statement. So you ask, Which sons of the gods? There are no sons of the gods. Some of them call it fallen angels. Now, I know the book of Enoch. Enoch was a prophet before the Great Flood and Enoch was in contact with extraterrestrials. Of course he does not call them extraterrestrials but guardians of the sky or guardians of the heaven. And Enoch reports that 200 of these guardians of the sky had descended to earth and here they saw beautiful girls and the 200 wanted to have sex with these beautiful girls and they did it. That means extraterrestrials had the sexual contact with some of our forefathers. Now we have a lot of questions. Because normally we say extraterrestrials would look completely different to us. It would never work. For example the sexual apparatus is never the same between extraterrestrials and us. But this is possible soon [sic] as you accept the theory of panspermia. Panspermia means we are the offspring of another solar system.

Erich Von Däniken believes the Nephilim of Gen. 6:1-4 [not Moses 1:6 as he says] were produced by space aliens! He also doesn’t know angels are called sons of God in Job and Daniel (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7; Dan 3:25). He also cites the pseudepigrapha book of Enoch as though it was credible! Erich Von Däniken uses any source he can for his theories and will twist the wording as much as he needs to, to get his desired end result! In that way he is similar to a lot of popular religious false teachers!

Erich Von Däniken Thinks Bad Space Aliens Destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah

[Russel Scott] If these ETs are going from one planet to the next altering DNA, affecting the natural progression of cultures, is that not cause for concern? I mean, should we not question their motives? We assume they are benevolent.

[Erich Von Däniken]: At least in the past they were not bad. They were morally nice. They were the teachers of humans. They teached [sic] us in writing, in speaking, in kind of science, in metallurgy, etc. This is handed down. We have some cases in which they were bad. For example when we read the story in the Bible of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. There the LORD of the Bible destroyed the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because the people were bad.

Amazing, but true, Erich Von Däniken’s ET gospel has the God of the Bible consisting of both good and bad space aliens! Peter, who lived 2,000 years ago, and was much more acquainted with the books from that time frame, clearly believed otherwise. He wrote:

If he [God] condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; (2 Pet 2:6)

If the God of the Bible who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah was an example of bad aliens, then why didn’t Peter call them bad space aliens? Furthermore, it is apparent (according to Peter) that the true and living God, who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, is moral and will judge the ungodly like he did Sodom and Gomorrah. How could he be an example of a bad space alien, since he is moral, holy and did the just thing to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? Erich Von Däniken and his ET gospel are not credible. Unfortunately, his books have been read by a lot of people and those UFO teachings, with a weird twist, flagrantly contradict the Bible. The belief in ETs has often dangerously conflicted with the Biblical message and Erich Von Däniken is partly responsible for that!

Eternal TORMENT

Jesus taught explicitly on the intense dangers of hell more than once. What he taught about, where the unrighteous go, is most stirring and frightening. The ultimate authority himself used the words eternal punishment:

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Mat 25:46)

Jesus taught the unrighteous will go to eternal punishment.eternal torment Hence, not everyone will go to Paradise, which makes Universalism and Gary Amirault, who teaches that, wrong.  What exactly is meant by the word punishment can be concealed and ambiguous, unless one looks into the Greek meaning of that word. It means TORMENT. That clarifies what Jesus declared — the unrighteous will go to ETERNAL TORMENT. Hence, according to the Lord Jesus, there is NO annihilation of the wicked dead as some teach, like heretic David Servant, for if the unrighteous dead are annihilated they could not suffer eternal torment (or punishment). According to the Lord Jesus, the “eternal punishment” of the unrighteous will be unending TORMENT! To be tormented one must be conscious, just as we read the unrighteous rich man in fire and agony was in Luke 16:19-31:

In hell [the Greek is actually Hades], where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. (Luke 16:23)eternal torment

for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment. (Luke 16:28)

So he called to him, “Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.” But Abraham replied, “Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.” (Luke 16:24,25)

The word agony in Luke 16:24,25 means TORMENT. That unrighteous man was in TORMENT IN FIRE. How long he had been there is not known, but he would stay in such a terrible condition! In fact, as you read this, he is still being tormented in eternal fire!

Their Punishment Would Last Forever

Those who hate the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.  (Psa 81:15)

Who does that include? Who hates the Lord? The answer is here:

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” (John 15:18)

The world [non-Christians] hates the Lord, even though they might not know it. They might be church goers and even profess salvation, but that doesn’t mean they are followers of Jesus and love him!

Sodom and Gomorrah

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Jude 1:7)

Just like in Mt. 25:46, Jude 7 also shows eternal fire does not annihilate! Eternal fire (Mt. 18:8; 25:41; Jude 7) causes endless suffering and torment. NOTE: thousands of years after Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God (Gen. 19:24,25), those homosexuals were still suffering in eternal fire because of their sexual immorality and perversion. They were not, and will never be, annihilated. Eternal fire is the greatest danger that exists. Hell warnings are justified and some were directed at those who had already been saved, implying there is NO eternal security.

Hologram Deception and The Antichrist

Have you ever heard of a hologram?  With present day hologram technology, things deceitfully appear to be real when they are NOT! Seeing is no longer proof of reality when a hologram is involved! If you doubt this, carefully watch the following videos. This technology, even in a much more advanced stage, will be controlled by the antichrist one future day when he is reigning! Only God knows what he will do with it. The kinds of deceptions that may be included with holograms, under the control of the antichrist, could be: miracles, a false Jesus Christ speaking untruths, a false rapture, etc.!

For your own soul’s sake, glue yourself to the Bible and don’t stray.  Our days are deceitful and will get much worse, especially when the antichrist starts to reign. If you take the mark of the beast you will be condemned (Rev. 14:9-12)!

Better To Be Poor Than A Liar

The poor have a much harder life than those who have more material possessions and better living conditions. poor person Poverty often leads to disease, oppression and a much shorter earthly life. Living in poverty has never been desirable, but there is something much worse, according to Scripture:

… better to be poor than a liar. (Prov 19:22)

Those seven words are power packed by merely comparing the poor to liars. Though that verse does not tell us the details why it is better to be poor than a liar, other verses make it explicitly clear, such as Rev. 21:8. Clearly, to be a liar is to be without eternal life!

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. (Rev 21:8)

All liars will go to the fiery lake of burning sulfur, according to God! Such is never the case for just being poor. This is important information to remember, for one of the main ways the devil will tempt (test) us is with money and material possessions, as with Job. That means we must not lie for the sake of getting money. That is the point of Prov. 19:22. It is better to be truthful and poor than to be a liar and rich because of it, for all liars will go to the fiery lake of burning sulfur! Lying, therefore, is much more serious than many church people tend to think. Apparently, Ananias and Sapphira didn’t realize that and would be of that number! Remember, it is better to be poor than a liar (Prov 19:22).

Simon The Sorcerer Came To Saving Faith

Simon the sorcerer (or Simon Magus) is the typical label placed on Simon from Samaria, who came to saving faith during the ministry of Phillip, the evangelist. While it is true that Simon was a sorcerer when Philip first arrived in Samaria, it is also true that he came to a saving faith just like many others in that city did through the preaching of Philip! simon sorcererThough that truth about his initial salvation is rejected by many in our day, it is still clearly stated:

But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw. (Acts 8:12,13)

Simon Himself Believed

Simon the sorcerer believed too, that is, he came to salvation from Philip’s preaching! His faith was the same kind of faith the others had who also accepted the word of God (Acts 8:14). The Greek word for believed in verse 12 is exactly the same as in verse 13, which Simon had. Also, Simon’s faith, like the others, enabled him to be water baptized as a Christian. Apparently, Philip saw observable evidence of Simon’s repentance and faith in Jesus.

When the good news of the many conversions from Samaria arrived in Jerusalem, Peter and John were sent there so the new Christians would receive the [baptism of] the Holy Spirit through the laying on of the apostle’s hands (Acts 8:14-18). What Simon observed at that point and offered the apostles, led up to him getting a stiff rebuke from Peter:

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.” Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.” (Acts 8:18-24)

Simony and Salvation Truths

Simony is the act of trying to buy a church office with money and got its name from what Simon tried to do with Peter and John! Simon’s monetary offer was proof that his heart, at that point, was not right with God. It must be noted that though his heart wasn’t right with God at that point, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t previously right, because it was! Remember, Simon believed and was Christian baptized like the others in that city. What happened to Simon afterwards is clear proof that:

Peter minced no words with Simon! Among other things he said, “May your money perish with you.”  Peter believed Simon was in a perishable spiritual condition at that moment. In other words, Simon was no longer saved and that was apparent to Peter from his desire to buy with money that same spiritual ability Peter and John had. NOTE: Peter didn’t consider Simon a mere carnal Christian! Simon had lost his salvation [died spiritually] at that point and it was evident to Peter.

How To Help A  Backslider

Peter’s answer to Simon is sound advice on how to help a backslider return to God. That advice was:

Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord.

The Bible remains silent if Simon ever did or didn’t regain salvation. For people in our day to depart from the Bible to some outside source to learn more about Simon is risky and invalid for Christian teaching (2 Tim. 3:16,17). Hence, we don’t know if Simon ever got saved again or not.

Final Observations

Before Philip arrived in Samaria, Simon was the main religious attraction, but that quickly shifted to Philip because of the miracles he performed and the powerful holiness preaching he delivered:

Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is the divine power known as the Great Power.” They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. (Acts 8:9-12)

Philip never had the spiritual ability that Peter and John had to lay hands on the Christians for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Hence, if Simon could get the apostle’s ability, he would again have the people’s attention, which he no longer had. He consequently offered the apostle’s money for it and Peter’s rebuke followed. To address Simon, as Simon the sorcerer, is not accurate, unless one is referring only to the time before he came to a saving faith and eternal life.

Out Of Context Scriptures

To remove a verse of God’s word (the Bible) from its context, is to potentially distort it into something far different from its intended meaning. This is somewhat of a common practice, which seems to have people understanding that verse out of its context rather than how it should be understood in context! Furthermore, that faulty interpretation remains the truth to them, and when they read Scripture that false preconceived concept is how they understand that verse afterwards! That is one of the ways spiritual deception spreads — by misusing Scripture. The following are three examples of verses commonly cited and understood out of context.

Filthy Rags

The filthy rags Scripture misused is Isa. 64:6. It is an important one which has caused some people to think their own righteous acts are unimportant. In its context we read:

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. But when we continued to sin against them, you were angry. How then can we be saved? All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins. (Isa 64:4-7)

The context of Isa. 64:6 is about a backslidden and unrepentant people — those who continued in sin and angered God because of their actions! Such sinful people are contrasted with those who wait for God (v. 4), gladly do right and remember God’s ways (v. 5). The ones with so-called righteous acts which were like filthy rags were people doing religious things, while filled with sin. Such are detestable to God, even though they were doing the offerings, incense and appointed feasts (Isa. 1:13-16). Hence, their righteous acts were like filthy rags to God. On the other hand, God will REWARD righteous acts done with the right motive (Mt. 6:1-18), so all righteous acts are NOT like filthy rags in God’s eyes. To disregard the context of Isa. 64:6 is to distort the importance of obedience.

Your Redemption Draws Near

The pre-trib rapture proponents often cite Luke 21:28 and seem totally unaware that such is glaringly misapplied because it’s out of context! out of context If we read from verse 25, the meaning is far from an any-moment pre-trib rapture, which has been cited for decades as being relevant for various events.  I heard John Hagee recently misapply the phrase, your redemption draws near to the four blood moons in 2014 and 2015. Here is the context of Luke 21:28:

There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.  (Luke 21:25-28)

Question: What are the these things referred to in v. 28? The in context bible answer is the significant change in the way we view the sun, moon and stars, which will cause multiple nations to be in fear and confusion at the roaring and tossing of the sea occurring. People will actually faint from terror over how the world has been adversely affected. It is only at that time, that the saints can lift up their heads, because their redemption is drawing near. That has NOT happened yet, even though our planet has been through two world wars and seen various devastating events. When that verse was quoted tens of thousands of times in the past, it was always misused and cited out of context!

Man Without The Spirit Of God Cannot Understand The KJB

The KJV Only crowd can be a shockingly divisive, condemning and irrational group! They place a spiritual noose around their necks when they misuse 1 Cor. 2:14 to teach that the saved (people with the Spirit) can understand the KJV (KJB), while lost people (non KJB people who mention the KJV is not understandable) can’t. How is this possible? First, let’s look at the context:

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: (1 Cor 2:14,15)

To suggest for a moment that 1 Cor. 2:14 refers to the KJB is also to believe 1 Cor. 2:14 had NO meaning until 1611, when the first edition of the KJB was produced! That alone should shock KJV Onlyites to their senses, but it usually doesn’t! Secondly, IF their misapplication of 1 Cor. 2:14 is valid, then they must be unsaved (being without the Spirit) because they themselves cannot understand the KJB with it bizarre archaic Elizabethan English. NOTE: I have challenged numerous staunch KJV Only promoters to take the KJB comprehension test, but NONE would! WHY? Because they apparently know they do not understand the archaic wording of the KJB. That makes this whole KJV Only message insanity because the same are pushing a translation which they can NOT understand on others, who will not be able to understand it either! That is insanity and immediately invalidates their whole usage of 1 Cor. 2:14!

Since the KJB is only an English translation of the Bible and not the Holy Spirit inspired only word of God like they claim, then we can better understand how the KJV Onlyites have taken out of context 1 Cor. 2:14 to camouflage the comprehension blockage the KJV produces.

Again, it is very sad that the way a verse is misapplied and taught, as the aforementioned three examples have been and still are, is the way it tends to be remembered. Dear reader, please readjust your doctrine to interpret the above scriptures in their proper context for your own good. Any verse taken out of context can be very serious, since we must understand God’s truth.

Antichrist Technology And An Ingestible Microchip

Imagine a tiny ingestible microchip (which is swallowed) to monitor you! It now exists and has for a while, which seems one step beyond biometric scanning of the palms! As technology continues to advance, one can only wonder how the antichrist of Revelation 13 will use all of this? It is a fact that one day the beast will conquer the saints (Rev. 13:7)! With the present tense drones, robots, heat sensors, satellites, etc., not to mention what we don’t know about or is yet to come, it will be virtually impossible to escape his worldwide influence. To overcome at that time, we saints must be willing to die (Rev. 12:11). Anything less will NOT be sufficient. The test then will be that severe. That is the only way to overcome, again showing it takes courage to follow Jesus and remain faithful! BTW, the real mark of the beast is a mark on the forehead or hand needed to buy things (Rev. 13:16,17). It is not ingested.

Moon Turning Blood Red

Starting very soon, on April 15, 2014, there will be a series of four blood moons (tetrad) which will stretch to September 28, 2015. NASA has given the dates of the blood moons as: blood moon

Not surprisingly, the moon appearing to be red during the aforementioned total lunar eclipses is being magnified by some pre-trib proponents as significant. Could the Lord Jesus be returning at that time, according to scripture?

The Sixth Seal

While the bible does mention the day of the Lord in conjunction with a moon that appears blood red (Joel 2:31; Acts 2:20), it also says what will transpire before that same major eschatological event. NOTE, the moon appearing blood red doesn’t occur until the sixth seal:

I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red. (Rev 6:12)

What transpires before the sixth seal, has NOT been fulfilled yet. Especially clear are the events that happen when the fourth seal is opened:

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Rev 6:7,8)

As of April 4, 2014, a fourth of the earth has not been adversely affected like that, as will be the case when the fourth seal is opened! Hence, the opening of the sixth seal is not an any moment imminent event!

The Rapture – From Earth To Heaven

Furthermore, Jesus taught the following about his return, the moon not giving its light and the timing:

But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, FROM the ends of the earth TO the ends of heaven. (Mark 13:24-27)

That describes the rapture (from earth to heaven), but the timing is not supportive for the pre-trib doctrine – just the opposite. Jesus said the gathering will be AFTER that tribulation (or post trib). For a pre-trib teacher to elevate the four blood moons in 2014 to 2015 to some connection to an any-moment rapture is to remove scripture from its context. Remember pre-trib rapture teacher, Harold Camping, and his multiple false prophecies about the rapture! The harm and shame he brought to Bible believers is only known by the omniscient God. Remember also that there were other four blood moon events in the past, which were not connected to the Lord’s return.

Man Marries Dog on Advice of Astrologer

India is a country rampant with false religion. While some there bathe in the Gange River wrongly thinking such will result in forgiveness of sins, at least another man has gone in a different direction and taken the darkened advice of an astrologer to marry a dog to get free of a curse and regain his physical health!

God’s Truth or Spiritual Deception

If one doesn’t have the light and truth of the Bible, he will be religiously deceived. The depth of one’s spiritual blindness  may vary, but some are obvious and extreme. The man marrying a dog because he listened to an astrologer is an example of how important it is to receive from the right source (the Bible). TRUTH as found in the Bible alone is what people desperately need. It is a matter of life or death.

BTW, it’s too bad the Indian man, who married a dog, didn’t know astrology is condemned by God. In Isaiah’s day, as God was about to pour out his judgment on the sinful, he mentioned what was coming and referred to the sinful who wrongly looked to the astrologers to learn the future:

All the counsel you have received has only worn you out! Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Here are no coals to warm anyone; here is no fire to sit by. (Isa 47:13,14)

Only God is omniscient and knows the future perfectly. Hence, the blessed man does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, including the occultists and/or astrologers:

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psa 1:1,2)

It is very sad to see non-Christian religious people groping in spiritual death and darkness, trying to find help and deliverance through the supernatural, but looking to the wrong source. Often it results in more bondage and slavery to sin, than before. People vitally need the word of God, both the written and living word of God. The Lord Jesus (the living and breathing word of God) is there, commanding all to enter through the narrow gate (Mt. 7:13,14) and openly inviting all who are weary and burdened to come to him to find rest for their soul (Mt. 11:28-30). Dear reader, there is no solid reason why you shouldn’t commit yourself wholeheartedly to do the will of God and humbly submit to follow Jesus?  There absolutely is NO Calvinist predestination, as John MacArthur and others teach! No one is predestined by God to listen to an astrologer, marry a dog and die in their sins.
