Letter To a Catholic Priest

Dear [first name]:

Greetings in Jesus’ name. Thank you for your letter. I read over it carefully. You quoted from the Apostle’s Creed and from The Catechism of the Catholic Church, but not once from the Holy Bible. letter to catholic priestThe reason the Biblical message must be stressed is because it is final authoritygiven for all Christian doctrine, correction, etc. The man of God is thoroughly equipped with the Bible alone:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16,17)

So when there is a contradiction between the Holy Bible and Mormonism or Catholicism or Jehovah’s Witnesses, we must embrace the Biblical message to have the truth. If not, we are violating 2 Tim. 3:16,17 and believing a non-truth, which will be disastrous.

Regarding Catholicism the plan of salvation is different than the Biblical message. That is why you are still addicted to your sins. You are a slave to sin, though you are sincere, because you are not now acting upon the Biblical truth about salvation. NOTE: A real Christian is set free from his sin addictions (Rom. 6:22; etc.). The counterfeit plan of salvation offered by Catholicism is the sacraments, Mary and being a Catholic. Such is powerLESS to free one from his sin slavery and cleanse his heart from sin! The same can be said about Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc. All false religions have a message about salvation, which will not set one free from sin.

Read over carefully and act upon the enclosed literature and write me back, if you want. (Remember, you are 100% SAFE to believe and act upon the Bible message! Do it to be safe and to have the truth and eternal life.)

Captive to Sin Again

Becoming captive to sin again AFTER being previously set free from sin addictions can happen! After the point of salvation different temptations and false teachings will confront the Christian. Some will be very strong and alluring. Some will be sudden and come when you least expect them. You must walk alert and self controlled. ostrich with head in the sandIF one gets deceived somehow and yields to sinful enticement such as sexual temptation or drunkenness he  must quickly and wholeheartedly repent again to restore his personal salvation and be set free. IF he doesn’t, he will be overcome and become captive to sin again as a backslider. To deny this is to ignore all the scriptures and observable evidence around us and to become like an ostrich with his head in the sand. Such doesn’t change reality. It will only make such ostrich-like people easier prey! Becoming a slave to sin AGAIN happens and that is why various GRACE truths are stated:

Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? (Rom 6:16)

What Heresy Is Like Candy-Coated Soul Poison

A direct warning about this was given by Peter, thereby showing it is a real possibility and danger:

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; (1 Pet 1:14,15)

Hope For The Backslider

Remember, it was Peter who wrote that and who also sternly rebuked Simon of Samaria, for his backsliding:

Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin. (Acts 8:22,23)

Peter taught the remedy for Simon’s backsliding was biblical REPENTANCE. Simon didn’t sin beyond repentance and forgiveness, like the ones in Heb. 6:4-6 who blasphemed the Holy Spirit! There is definite hope and good news for apostates, if they sincerely turn back to God. Furthermore, Simon would have to pray to God for himself to get forgiven. [NOTE: Peter, whom Catholics say was the first Pope, never wanted Simon to confess his sins to him, as Catholics do to their priest!]

Captive To Sin Again – Entangled By Sin and Overcome Again

Peter also wrote:

If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.  Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.” (2 Pet 2:20-22)

How do we overcome evil after initial salvation under grace? ANSWER: By doing good:

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rom 12:21)

That is a broad term which simply means by putting God’s word into practice (Lk. 8:21) and living holy. Becoming captive to sin doesn’t have to happen. You can remain holy, righteous and blameless like Paul and his co-laborers were (1 Thess. 2:10). Christians do NOT sin all the time and must be overcomers.

Sudden Destruction – I Am In Shock

Hi Dan, for the last 6 weeks or so I have been friends with a young couple I have been sharing the Lord with. His name is [Boyfriend] and hers [Wife].

[Wife] is in a covenant marriage with another man and her and [Boyfriend] kicked him out of the home and [Boyfriend] moved in. They both claim to believe in Christ but when I asked them about their relationship they were not ashamed at all. woman hit by car

Last week I came to my wits end as they refused to repent so I asked my Bible study fellowship last Tuesday to pray for my discernment what I should do. Last Friday I talked with [Boyfriend] on the phone and I told him that Jesus told someone to go and sin no more lest a worst thing came upon them.

The very next morning at 1:00 am they were getting drunk in the street and a car came and ran [Wife] over and killed her. [Boyfriend] told me that same day (last Saturday) and he moved out of the home and went to stay with a neighbor. He is devastated. I’m amiss to say anything right now as I am in shock too. What should I say to him now? Any ideas?

[Bible Answer] THANK YOU for sharing this with us and warning them both. Her blood won’t be on your hands [and neither will his]. Their claiming salvation while being in ADULTERY and DRUNKENNESS is par for the course in our WICKED DARK DAY. She has no more chances to be cleansed from her sins through repentance. SUDDEN DESTRUCTION came on her just like it says in Proverbs 29:1. Hopefully, [Boyfriend] will do some serious repenting, while he still can. None us knows when we are going to depart and we must stay ready to go. We must FEAR GOD. Sin is nothing to play with. Psa. 4:4 is relevant.

Years ago, a man with a sordid background including prison time told me he was once an atheist before he repented and became a preacher. He spoke out loud and said, “If there is a God let him kill my firstborn.” Within the hour a car hit and killed his firstborn in front of his house!

Getting back to [Boyfriend]. I would tell him to learn a lesson from what happened and not play with sin ever again. Tell him he is NOT a true Christian and is in dire need of repentance for salvation’s sake. He might be a once saved always saved proponent. In that case you already know how to refute that LIE FROM THE DEVIL. GOD BLESS YOU. Remember 1 Cor. 15:58.

The Hindu Pagan god Ganesha

The Hindu pagan god of wisdom and prosperity is “lord” Ganesha, the elephant god, who is supposedly able to remove obstacles.hindi pagan god This form of idolatry and spiritual darkness is the glaring result of the absence of God’s truth, as revealed in the Bible. As sad and as ugly as his picture is, it is even worse that millions of precious souls from India and Japan are involved in such weird idolatry. Food (like peas and rice) is offered to Ganesha along with flowers. The belief is Ganesha takes your karma upon himself if you are worshiping him!

Smashing of the Coconut Sacrifice

This form of pagan idolatry also believes that smashing coconuts has the ability to absorb one’s karma. It is the only way to have a transformation and the most powerful way to celebrate Ganesha’s Birthday. Gum is the mantra to call on Ganesha and he is said to respond and come to you to bless and foresee obstacles! Very sad beliefs.

Paul Addressed Similar Situations as Ganesha

Little known to Hindus are the demons behind their sacrifices to Ganesha. We know that from what Paul wrote about similar things going on in his day:

Do I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. (1 Cor 10:19-21)

Imagine thinking you are sacrificing to a god, but in reality it is a demon! That is what is going on in Hinduism and other pagan religions. They need SALVATION TRUTH more than their next meal. The real transformation and new creation is only found in Christ and that is when one is Biblically born again.

NOTE: If your name is written in heaven, rejoice (Lk. 10:20)! Many are religious, but have gone down the wrong path and remain in darkness and death. That includes the worshipers of Ganesha, who desperately need the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and forgiveness.

What Is The Brown Scapular

Millions of sincere Catholics wear the brown scapular thinking by doing so it will help them spiritually. They believed the report that Mary made and is backing a salvation promise in connection with the brown scapular hundreds of years ago based on their religious traditions. Over the years wearing the brown scapular has been perpetuated by sincere Catholic leaders, such as the one in this video, but it is in complete futility that it is worn. It is a false hope and a spiritual snare. wearing brown scapularIt is not based on God’s truth and is, therefore, just as deadly for the sincere Catholic as it is for the Hindu who bathes in the Ganges River thinking his sins will be washed away in the water or for the Muslim who kisses the black stone of Kaaba to be forgiven! [The picture to the right is Mel Gibson, the director of the Passion of Christ, wearing a brown scapular as he smokes.]

I too once wore the brown scapular as an Ex Roman Catholic. I know what it is like to be taught something and accept it as truth to find out later it is not only unscriptural, but anti-scriptural. It hurts, but TRUTH is what we must stand on to be safe. It takes humility in such cases to turn.

NOTE: At about 2:23 time-wise into the video, the speaker is quoted below. How could anyone deny that Mary is deified in Catholicism? Surely, this rampant idolatry is grieving to the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. This is what Catholicism teaches about the brown scapular:

Brown Scapular Catholic Propaganda

And so, wearing of the brown scapular reminds us, should remind us, of three things. First, that we are children of Mary. Second of all, that we need to work for our Lady. And finally, it should be a garment of humility and penance. First, by the brown scapular we profess ourselves to be children of Mary. The scapular of our Lady is a badge or a uniform so to speak by which we profess to whom we belong and who we serve. Likewise, our Lady in turn by wearing the brown scapular, she recognizes us as her children, as her special children. And because of that, she consequently protects us and watches over us. The brown scapular should also remind us that we need to work for our Lady because the scapular, which means shoulder garment, was originally that, it was a garment worn by religious in order to protect their habit, their religious habit that they wore on a daily basis during those periods of work to keep it from getting dirty, stained, from ripping, etc. and so therefore the scapular is a working garb. And so this should remind us that there’s no room for lazy piety. If we wear the brown scapular and we consider ourselves our Lady’s children, there’s no place for lazy piety but rather we should fill our lives with good works. This brown scapular should remind us the need to faithfully fulfill our daily duties, and to make another adaptation of Scripture, to labor as good soldiers of the Immaculate. Finally, the third place, the brown scapular is also a garment of humility and of penance. So in a spirit of penance, we should accept all the difficulties of our state of life and all the sufferings that our Lady may want to send us. And the scapular will give us the strength to do this. In all of our difficulties, we can always grab onto our brown scapular, remind ourselves of our Lady’s protection, her watchfulness, her presence and especially at the moment of death, when we can call to mind our Lady’s promise of salvation. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

* Not a single word about Jesus was mentioned there.
* The brown scapular is 100% religious mythology and idolatry, as Mary is deified as a type of Savior.
* No Bible light shines from such brown scapular Catholic tradition.

Do YOU know Jesus NOW?

Should We Blame God

should we blame GodShould we blame God for bad things in life? Many people wrongly blame God for everything, but are they justified in doing so? How does the devil, man’s freewill and this general cursed age fit into all this? Let’s look at the Scriptures for the various reasons painful things happen to us all.

What Is Bad?

First, how can we be sure an event is really bad? There are so many Biblical examples citing the different “bad” things that happened, which really turned out for good in the end, as with Joseph being sold into Egyptian slavery so he could advance into the palace. By looking at the big picture, it wasn’t really bad as it first appeared. Furthermore, John being exiled to Patmos resulted in the Book of Revelation, and Paul being in prison resulted in the prison epistles (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon).

Should We Blame God — Discipline and Tests

Then we have God’s discipline, which can be painful (Heb. 12:5-7). As it says there, “hardness” can be God’s discipline, but that is not bad. His discipline is good, though it doesn’t seem like it:

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (Heb 12:11)

Moreover, with Job, the “bad” things were a very severe TEST through which Job got “ruined” without reason (Job 2:3), but that was temporary. Again, the big picture needs to be viewed.

Should We Blame God For Man’s Folly or His Sin

Proverbs adds to the aforementioned with this truth about man’s freewill:

A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD. (Prov 19:3)

The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him; the cords of his sin hold him fast. He will die for lack of discipline, led astray by his own great folly. (Prov 5:22,23)

That is exactly what I personally observed with a man I knew very well, who believed in the LIE OF CALVINISM and its predestination. He wrongly blamed God for everything he thought was bad, but his own folly needlessly brought some of it on himself! He was very close to suicide at one point as an eternal security proponent — thinking he would go to heaven afterwards like many others who were deceived and went through with it, including George Sodini. Perhaps it was the sharp rebuke I gave him of his certain damnation in hell if he did commit suicide, that helped prevent it! Certainly, Calvinism has ruined many lives as God gets the blame for some needless painful circumstances.

Trouble Every Day

No one can escape trouble in our cursed age. Jesus spoke the vital truth — being unlike positive speaker smiley Joel Osteen and papist Kenneth Copeland:

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Mat 6:34)

Trouble comes daily on the righteous and unrighteous. Blaming God for such trouble surely won’t resolve it. God is the answer and solution. He’s not the problem to be blamed! The devil wants us to blame God to drive a wedge between us and God. He is the deceiver.

The Avenger’s Retaliation

On the other hand the devil is called the “avenger” in Psa. 8:2. He causes MAJOR trouble and conflict for people, especially God’s servants. Consider what Paul went through because he faithfully served God — jail time, beatings, stoning, life in danger, etc. Some of the things Paul observed PERPLEXED him! “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Cor 4:8,9) Should we blame God for what the devil does? Never! Consider also the following:

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev 2:10,11)

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. (Job 2:7)

Rejoice In The Lord

God is infinite. His ways and thoughts are not like our (Isa. 55:8,9). The only way we can understand him and what he wants is found in the Bible and most of the “why” questions we may have about life are not answered.

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. (1 Pet 4:12,13)

That’s the winning attitude, along with Romans 8:28:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Innocent Party In Divorce Speaks Her Heart

[Bible Comment] I have been searching the scriptures….and in my heart I know the view you have on remarriage is correct.  I have been divorced for 19 years and so wish I was free to remarry. innocent party in divorce My husband and best friend ran off together [when] I was pregnant.  I have raised two incredible girls on my own.  My ex and friend are married with children….and I have been counseled by many a well Christians (pastors too) that I was the innocent party…so I am free.  This has never set well with me….because what if they are wrong.  I prayed and fasted some 19 years ago…and I asked God to never allow me to remarry if it meant my eternity.  My girls are older now and both serving Jesus….and I am alone.  When I start to get down and begin questioning remarriage…God reminds me of that prayer some 19 years ago.  It is difficult….this world can be a tough one going at it alone.   My ex and his wife serve in the church and have been told all is okay.  I don’t want to gain the whole world but lose my soul. What can I see your video on this? Thank you.

[Bible Answer] We are very sorry for the pain and misery you have/are experiencing over your husband’s unfaithfulness. VERY SORRY! There are many like you in our loose society plus this present apostate “church” (really a whore church). Our days are VERY DARK. Surely MULTITUDES ARE ON THE ROAD TO HELL IN ADULTERY OVER A SO-CALLED “REMARRIAGE.” It is a form of “adultery” (Mk. 10:11,12; etc.) like lust (Mt. 5:28,29), which isn’t readily known, but should be. Hence, MUCH harm is being done in those ways.

Please forgive both your husband and your old best friend. Don’t allow the devil to damn you over unforgiveness (Mt. 6:14,15).  Remember, in heaven – a PARADISE environment – there will be no marriages (Lk. 20:35).  Take one day at a time, keep your hand to the plow and don’t look back (Lk. 9:62). GOD BLESS YOU and give you great peace.

[Divorce is big business for both lawyers (who want to get rich) and the devil (who wants to hurt and damn souls).]

Can a Believer Go To Hell

[Trick Question] Can you show me scripture that says a believer can go to hell. I am interested in the two sided belief. Thank you.

can a believer go to hell[Bible Answer] Is that a trick question? As long as a person remains a Bible-defined believer he won’t go to hell, but a believer can become an UNbeliever (Lk. 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23; 2 Tim. 2:18; 1 Tim. 1:19). It is crystal clear that a righteous person can turn to evil and die spiritually (Ezek. 33:18; Rom. 8:13; etc.). Without question, a person sanctified by Jesus’ blood can become an enemy of God and have raging fire await him (Heb. 10:26-29). According to the Bible, eternal life is much more than just the gift of God (Rom. 6:23) and a present tense possession (Jn 6:47; 1 Jn 5:11-13). Eternal life is also a hope (Titus 3:7) yet to be reaped (Gal. 6:8,9), in the age to come (Mk. 10:30) for only the ones who persist in doing good (Rom. 2:7) and don’t grow weary and give up sowing to please the Spirit (Gal. 6:9)! Eternal life is also a promise for the Christians who hold on to the gospel truth they heard from the beginning to remain in Christ and the Father (1 Jn. 2:24-26). Do you know Jesus NOW (1 John 2:3,4)? Are you free from all sin addictions NOW?

The Apostate

An apostate is one who departs from the faith. That is what the Greek word means. It is very simple. It is not hard to understand. According to Scripture, an apostate was in the faith, that is, he was a Christian, but subsequently turned away from Christianity and from his salvation. That simplicity, however, is gone in our day with the flood of overflowing doctrinal distortions and gibberish. It has been washed away and replaced with a counterfeit to fit man’s warped theology! That is precisely what Calvinism has done with the term apostate. Calvinism has force-fitted that term into their counterfeit grace theology.

apostate in calvinism

In contrast to the simple meaning of an apostate, which even a “babe” can understand, Calvinism redefines such a person as one who never truly believed unto salvation. To them an apostate was never saved, and examples of apostates are Judas and Demas! They want us to believe an apostate looks and acts exacts like a Christian, functions in ministry as a Christian, etc., but was never saved! An apostate to them is a contradiction of terms, that is, he wasn’t really in the faith, but somehow departed from it! Calvinism misuses the wheat and tares teaching as backing, saying they are indistinguishable while the text clearly teaches otherwise! [See The Believer’s Conditional Security: Eternal Security Refuted, pp.346,347 for more information on this whole issue of the believer’s security.]

John MacArthur’s Fabricated Apostate

Calvinist, John MacArthur further said this about an apostate:

You and I can’t, even at our best, know who is really a Christian. I think we can say that person has given evidence of being a Christian, but we may not be able to say that person is not a Christian, even though they look like one. That we can’t say. So I think that’s part of … part of understanding apostasy is that it hides very well among the saints. ( When Believers Stop Believing: Portrait of an Apostate, John MacArthur,  http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/GTY119 )

Christian Drunks, Adulterers and Homosexuals

For John MacArthur to write, as you just read, we may not be able to say that person is not a Christian, even though they look like onehe just stated he believes some immoral people are Christians, which fits their license to sin! He teaches just like Charles Stanley on that issue. Remember, in Calvinism it works the other way too, that is, you can’t tell who is saved either, even if it is yourself! John Calvin wrote about their evanescent grace:

Experience shows that the reprobate are sometimes affected in a way so similar to the elect that even in their own judgment there is no difference between them. Hence, it is not strange, that by the Apostle a taste of heavenly gifts, and by Christ himself a temporary faith is ascribed to them (The Believer’s Conditional Security: Eternal Security Refuted, 2000 edition ; pp. 731,732 — documented from Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin.)

John MacArthur spews out his man-made theology, like raw putrid sewage from a rusty pipe into the water, to gullible people and they just drink it in! In our day, too many people seem unable to detect such! Maybe because John MacArthur is a fluent speaker, people are caught up with his speaking abilities instead of being repulsed by his Scripture distortions! Folks, there are many intelligent and fluent speakers among Catholicism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism, etc. Remember, TRUTH is the issue and the gauge of all spiritual truth is the Bible, not how fluent one is. Paul was not a trained speaker, like some of his doctrinal adversaries (2 Cor. 11:6).  Orator Aaron, who erected the Golden Calf, was a man-pleaser and fluent speaker, while Moses was slow to speak and God’s chosen leader (Ex. 4:10-14 cf. Ex. 32)!

TRUTH vs John MacArthur’s Apostate

How could anyone believe such John MacArthur propaganda about the apostate unless he is just blindly trusting in a man and not reading his Bible to learn the truth for himself! Of course, we can know a tree by its fruit (Mt. 7:16,20) unless Jesus lied, which is impossible! Of course, we can KNOW the child of God from the child of the devil or our Bible is corrupt, which will never be proven:

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10)

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. (1 John 3:14,15)

How can John MacArthur blatantly spew out the opposite without his followers being alarmed and deserting him? To blindly follow a man, any man, will end badly! Dear reader, IF you believe the Bible is final authority, it is apparent John MacArthur and all Calvinists (including flagrant blasphemer Mark Driscoll) are wrong about the spiritual identity of a person and who an apostate is! Their distortions of scripture are presented to protect Calvinism, while it snares precious souls.

Even The World Knows

Not only can Christians tell if another is also a Christian, but even the world can do that (yet Calvinism wants us to deny these facts):

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. (John 15:19)

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 13:35)

In the Bible an apostate is a person who once had salvation and lost his salvation by turning away from God. Solomon is a prime example, who turned to idolatry at the end of his life and never returned to God! He died an idolater! Judas Iscariot is another example of an apostate. He lost his salvation too. He once held the highest office in the church as apostle (Mt. 10:1-4; Acts 1:17), was promised a throne in heaven (Mt. 19:28) and was Jesus’ trusted friend, yet he died and went to eternal fire (Mk. 14:21; Jn. 17:12)! Other examples are cited in Heb. 6:4-6 and John 6:66. Because apostasy is real, Christians are told to HOLD ON to what they have (Rev. 3:11; etc.).

NOTE: Calvinism’s dribble presented as a true depiction of an apostate has been erected to protect the license to sin called eternal security. With their propaganda they can then use their never saved argument to begin with an answer, when it doesn’t apply to one who was previously saved. Have you ever noticed they never say David was never saved because he turned to adultery and murder? Neither do they say Solomon was never saved because he turned to idolatry! TAKE WARNING! Believe the Bible, not man’s theology! If you go with the flow and follow a man like fluent John MacArthur, you will be of the blind following the blind and it won’t end well for you! Calvinists like MacArthur want you to think one departs from the faith without ever being in it and that one falls from grace without ever being in grace; etc.! Shocking, but true. That is their twisted version of an apostate! As Catholicism has a fabricated MaryCalvinism has a fabricated apostate. Their apostate was erected, with its glaring contradiction of terms, to protect their false gospel of eternal security.
