Baptist Pastor Juan D. McFarland and His UNgodly Fruit

Jesus taught we can know a person by his fruit. If we examine the life of Baptist Pastor Juan D. McFarland of Alabama, false teachershis bad fruit reflects our shameful apostate hour and the unqualified spiritual leadership in spiritual positions of power and influence. The most important position of influence is a position of influence over SOULS. All pastors, evangelists, missionaries and ministers of various types have such influence to some degree, yet the VAST MAJORITY are not qualified and are therefore tools of the devil. Juan D. McFarland is just one sad example of a shameful spiritual stumbling block:

Sexually Immoral Baptist Pastor, Drug Addict and Thief

A pastor shocked his Montgomery, Ala., congregation and the entire community with the admission that he had sex with female church members while knowing that he had AIDS…. “He was on marijuana, cocaine and all the drugs you can think of,” Williams said. “Those are his words.” Williams said that McFarland also acknowledged that he had used money given to him for conventions on having “a good time.” According to WSFA-TV in Montgomery, after the Sept. 14 announcement, McFarland confirmed everything he shared with the congregation, including sex with parishioners, the drug use and the mishandling of church money. WSFA reports that McFarland was removed as pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday …. Church leaders initiated a vote to have McFarland removed as pastor, Williams said. The vote was 80 to two in favor of removal, he said. Williams said since the vote, McFarland has changed the locks on the church and changed the church’s bank account, leaving other church leaders without access. Church leaders are consulting with lawyers and the bank to figure out a solution, he said. ( http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/10/09/pastor-with-aids-admits-sex-with-church-members/16996323/ )

Scandals like that with Juan D. McFarland continue on in one fashion or another, but always to the hurt and shame of Christianity as a whole, even though McFarland is a child of the devil. Christianity is the truth. It has the one and only gospel to save souls from damnation (Acts 4:12; 1 John 5:12; etc.). That gospel of grace sets the repentant instantly free from their sin addictions (Rom. 6:22), but if a person like Juan D. McFarland is in a position of power over souls, he will do much more spiritual damage by his example than if he never professed salvation to begin with.

I can only wonder how the damnable heresy of eternal security might have adversely affected McFarland’s behavior and spiritual condition since it is so prevalent among Baptists. Of course, the Baptist doctrine of once saved always saved will say he remains a Christian now even while unrepentant, if he was ever saved at any point. Charles Stanley would boldly affirm that. Such false teachers believe there are Christian drug addicts, Christian thieves, Christian adulterers, etc. proving that this dogma is a license to sin taught under grace. In fact, just yesterday I spoke to a professing Christian who is an OSAS proponent and Charles Stanley devotee, who believes there are Christian heroin junkies!

TESTIMONY: I Thought Eternal Security Kept Me Safe As An Occasional Drunkard

Those that think going to church is the essence and epitome of the Christian life need to rethink their view! Without question, it was to one’s great DISADVANTAGE AND HARM to go the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church when pastor Juan D. McFarland was sowing to the flesh (Gal. 6:8,9), especially if one was a woman who caught the eye of McFarland. Besides the women who got HIV from him, the harm done in that congregation alone is incalculable! How the devil loves servants like McFarland. Too bad he isn’t the only one like that! Press on saints. Keep your eyes on JESUS, the King.

The Fearful Side of Heaven

Holy Writ teaches a two-sided God, that is, one with great mercy and kindness forriver of fire the humble repentant, while the same holy creator God will vent his intense wrath, anger and sternness on those who die in their sins:

For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. (Rom 11:21,22)

God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace forriver of fire from God's throne everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. (Rom 2:6-10)

A conditional salvation is clearly taught with a present tense behavior revealing the child of God from the child of the devil (1 John 3:10). But that is also shown in another way which is most stirring — in a way which many church goers have never heard! There are both a river of fire and a river of the water of life flowing from God’s throne!

A River of Fire Flowing From The Throne of The Ancient of Days

Only once is the following revealed in the entire Bible! It’s a side of God and heaven which is foreign to the majority!

As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire. (Dan 7:9-11)

The River of The Water of Life Flowing From The Throne of God and of the Lamb

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. (Rev 22:1,2)

The Daniel 7:9-11 passage proves end time truth is found in the book of Daniel, as it is in Revelation. NOTE: Dan 7:11 shows the beast (or antichrist) will be thrown into the blazing fire which comes from God’s throne. In Rev 19:20 the false prophet and antichrist will be thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The logical deduction is, the source of the fiery lake of burning sulfur is the throne of God. The river of fire flows from it until it becomes the dreaded lake of burning sulfur. [1,000+ years after the antichrist and false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire, they are still being tormented there and have not been annihilated (Rev. 19:20 cf. 20:10).]

From the same omnipotent throne will gush the river of the water of life. Its water is crystal clear and will nourish the tree of life. The overcomers will eat its fruit and leaves. Again, the creator God is shown to be the source of all things, including the kinds of rivers flowing from his holy throne!

A Chilling Encounter With The Spiritually Blind

Recently my wife and I had a chilling encounter with a Baptist’s minister’s wife. After she received our heaven/hell gospel tract and mentioned who she was, I asked if she believed in once saved always saved. She responded, NO. spiritual blindnessThat was sweet music to our ears, but it didn’t last long as she also mentioned she was a backslider. I told her, since that was the case, she is on the road to hell and she agreed. She knew she was no longer a Christian. The chilling part was that she had NO apparent fear of God or concern about going to hell. None! It was absolutely stunning. I have encountered others in the past, who told me they knew they were going to hell, but this woman seemed much worse. She smiled as though she was having her picture taken as she said she knew she was going to hell. Imagine that! I tried reasoning with her about her desperate need for forgiveness and salvation. When I told her that hell was forever and there is weeping and gnashing of teeth there, it temporarily seemed to grab her attention, but it was short lived:

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (Mat 13:41,42)

She shrugged off the reality of her greatest need — salvation. She was in the greatest danger, earnestly warned about that danger yet she appeared to be unmoved in the slightest way! It was like her heart was a piece of hardened steel! It was chilling to talk with such a person!

Spiritual Blindness

Spiritual blindness comes in various degrees and hers was great. One can only read about Solomon’s dead and lost condition as an idolater and attempted murderer in his latter years. There is NO evidence he ever returned to God after he turned away! It isn’t always like that, though. Some return to salvation like King David and the prodigal, but many don’t. May this be a warning to all of the God fearing. Be very careful and walk guarded. Sin will harden and deceive your heart, if you serve it. It will be like being on a drug which dulls your senses and confuses your mind. Don’t think you can just go and sin, then simply ask God for forgiveness and everything will be the same. Backsliders can get saved again, but sin leaves scars and destroyed lives. Of course the tempter will never tell you these things as he trying to get you into spiritual death.

BTW, her husband — that Baptist minister — is disqualified from being in spiritual leadership because his wife is in such a pathetic spiritual condition (1 Tim. 3:11).  I can only imagine trying to have a serious Bible study with a person like that. Her wickedness could easily adversely affect others sincerely seeking God. That is why we read verses like 1 Cor. 5:13 dealing with church discipline and “a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough” (1 Cor 5:6). Saints, take warning. Keep yourself pure.

Walruses In Alaska, Kenneth Copeland and a Blood Moon

Canaries have been used in coal mines to detect dangerous levels of explosive methane gas. If the canaries would stop singing, and in some cases even die because of the bad air, it revealed the mine could explode!

Walruses

Now the walruses are telling us their message, that is, CLIMATE CHANGE IS RAPIDLY OCCURRING:

“It’s another remarkable sign of the dramatic environmental conditions changing as the result of sea ice loss,” climate changesaid Margaret Williams, managing director of the group’s Arctic program, by phone from Washington, D.C. “The walruses are telling us what the polar bears have told us and what many indigenous people have told us in the high Arctic, and that is that the Arctic environment is changing extremely rapidly and it is time for the rest of the world to take notice and also to take action to address the root causes of climate change.” (  http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/topstories/35000-walrus-come-ashore-in-northwest-alaska/ar-BB6EGXU?ocid=ansnewsap11 — (AP Photo/NOAA, Corey Accardo)  )

Kenneth Copeland

In January of this year Kenneth Copeland received the Pope’s blessing and prayedclimate change for the pope’s heart desire of unity! Several months later he and others actually met with the pope as this picture shows. [It also appears they were all hitting the wine bottles on the table. Copeland’s face looks different!]

Blood Moon

It’s time for another blood moon on October 8th. This does NOT mean the rapture will soon occur though for there are yet too many things which must first occur, such as the Temple being rebuilt and the antichrist and his mark being issued. As much as we would all like to see the rapture before serious trouble breaks, it is NOT going to happen like that, according to scripture!

You Are Cherished By God

If you are a Bible-defined real Christian you are cherished by God! That fact should make you shouting happy! Cherished is how God views you as his son or daughter!cherished by God As exceptional as that is, God will also take great delight in you, quiet you with his love and sing over you with rejoicing:

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. (Zep 3:17)

Your future in his holy presence, if you remain in Christ, is best described as Paradise!  Imagine that. But getting back to being cherished by God, we can only guess at the awesomeness of what that entails, but it is VERY exciting. Here is Biblical support that God’s children are cherished:

See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. (Psa 83:2,3)

Click Here To Learn How God Views Wicked People

Psa. 83:2,3 states that God’s enemies conspire against his people, the ones God cherishes! To further remove all ambiguity about who Psa. 83:3 refers to, please note God’s people now are Christians. (The Christ rejecting Jews are not God’s chosen people anymore.)

God Is NOT Like Us

Remember, though we are cherished by God, God’s ways and thoughts are not like ours (Isa. 55:8,9). He is also a testing God and those tests can be painful (1 Pet.4:12) for those cherished by God! In this life now, the saints will continue to face many hardships and problems, as we follow Jesus. It was like that for all the disciples, even the most faithful like Paul, who shed his blood at least nine times early in his ministry! We remain cherished by God, as we remain a follower of Jesus Christ — one who is running his spiritual race with perseverance. Rejoice that your name is written in the book of life (Lk. 10:20).

I Feel More Positive Towards Mary Than Jesus

[Bible Comment/Question From a Catholic] Well, firstly I will admit that I was a bit puzzled and curious as to why you decided to send me an article about Mary since I have not mentioned anything about her previously. (Did you have some sort of spiritual thoughts that maybe I hold her in high esteem?). I do in fact pray to her for her intercession as well as of course to God and to my Guardian Angel. I’ve never felt it to be a problem before but indeed lately I do seem to be feeling more positive towards Mary than towards Jesus probably because as a woman I feel like she can understand me somehow more.. (it probably isn’t so, I just feel it).catholic mary The passage 1 Cor. 6:9-11 which you mentioned also ties in with the figure of Mary if I’m correct? Do you perceive her as an idol in this context? Thank you in advance,

[Bible Answer] Thank you for your polite response. I’m very glad you shared your heart. There are several important Bible truths I need to mention related to your comments. Here they are:

* We are to pray only to God. I know Catholics have been entrenched in praying to Mary, angels and other Catholic saints, but we were taught wrong. [I am an ex Catholic.] That type of prayer is not Biblical and must stop. To pray to Mary or anyone else is to wrongly assume she/he is all-knowing for she would have to be able to hear multiple people praying to her at the same time. Only God is all-knowing and has the sovereign power to answer prayer, deliver us and save our souls. [Mary is not sovereign, as Pope John Paul II taught.]

* Please be assured that JESUS is more merciful than Mary. In fact, Mary being merciful or helpful to us in our needs doesn’t even fit into the equation because she can’t do anything for us. She is not the mediatrix or dispenser of grace, as Catholicism declares. She is not the sinless Queen of heaven and hope of sinners; neither is she our life, sweetness and hope. As you read and learn the New Testament, precious life-producing truths about JESUS will become apparent.

* JESUS is the focus and the key to eternal life and victory. We also get to Jesus by going directly to him, without first going to Mary. Jesus commanded us to come directly to him (Mt. 11:28-30; John 5:40; 6:37; etc.). It is a sin to disobey and try to go to him some other way, based on those Scriptures.

* Without question, the fabricated Mary of Roman Catholicism is not the Mary portrayed in the Bible. To be more precise, the Mary of Catholicism doesn’t exist. She has been invented and has evolved over the centuries. Now she has become a godless figure and savior to the misinformed. Such is not the Mary taught in the Bible. There is no resemblance between the two. Since Catholicism has exalted their fabricated Mary to being THE WAY TO GOD (Fatima Marian apparition) it is therefore, necessary for our personal salvation to reject that poisonous concept and go to Jesus and trust him 100% for our salvation. Mary has no role in salvation and neither do the sacraments or being a Catholic. A saving faith is a faith in JESUS, which follows and obeys him. It is one which has repented of sins and is serving God. It is a faith which has set one free from his sin addictions and has made one a new creation in Christ.

* YES, Catholicism has made their fabricated sinless Queen of heaven into an idol and they carry her around like the idolaters in the Old Testament did with their false gods:

For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good. (Jer 10:3-5)

Finally, for all those listed in 1 Cor. 6:9,10, the remedy is cited in verse 11, but that vital remedy doesn’t mention Mary. The whole passage says:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor. 6:9-11, NASB).

Please read this about saving faith very carefully.

A Christian is NOT a Sinner Saved By Grace

As strange as it may sound in our apostate day, according to Scripture, a Christian is NOT a sinner saved by grace! YES, he is saved by grace. YES, he was a sinner, before salvation. However, since the point of becoming a new creation in Christ he is NOW a righteous person and no longer a sinner! [In fact, he is also called terms which show his holy devotion to Christ such as a saint (Rom. 15:26; 16:15; 2 Cor. 1:1; 13:13; Eph. 1:1; etc.).]

What Grace Is NOT

Definition of a Sinner

The definition of a sinner, according to the Bible, is one who is on the road to hell, bound and enslaved by the cords of sin (Rom. 6:)!sinner saved by grace This important difference between the term sinner and the righteous (saints) is easily shown when examining contrasting terms. Luke 15:7 and 1 Pet. 4:18 are clear. Respectively, they read:

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

It is also crystal clear that it is only the righteous who inherit God’s kingdom, not the unrighteous (or sinners):

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9,10, NASB).

But all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.  (Psa 37:38)

To call a blood-bought, blood-redeemed slave of righteousness (Rom. 6:18) and follower of JESUS (Jn. 10:27) a sinner is to distort and smear the holy image of being a Christian, but such a demonic distortion fits perfectly with the heretical doctrine of eternal security! Why? Because eternal security doctrine implies there are Christian adulterers, Christian drunks, Christian thieves, Christian liars, etc. To them the backsliding are still saved while in the vilest of unrepentant sin. That is a violent affront and attack to basic Bible Christian beliefs!

A Christian is Righteous – NOT a Sinner Saved By Grace

Again, a Christian is righteous, and has eternal life and eternal salvation by OBEYING JESUS (Heb. 5:9). He definitely is NOT a sinner saved by grace. In fact, the phrase sinner saved by grace is Biblically impossible in even another way! A sinner can be saved, but is NOT saved while in unrepentant sin.

People tend to retort, we all sin and Jesus was the only sinless one. TRUE, but there are different degrees of sin (1 John 5:16,17)! To say sin is sin, meaning all sins are of the same degree, is also NOT a Christian teaching! There is sin which is NOT sin unto death (1 John 5:16,17)! For a Christian to be in worry and/or not be completely humble and gentle is sin but NOT sin that leads to death as would place him back on the road to hell and make him a sinner again as we read here:

My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19,20, ESV)

To say a Christian is a sinner saved by grace is highly misleading according to the above and should not be used by Christians. Do you know Jesus NOW?

Little Known Facts About God

All through the Bible we can gather important facts about God. facts about GodSome facts about God are obvious and often mentioned, like his love. Other major facts about God are lesser known such as his wrath and anger over sin and his jealousy for our love and commitment to him for our own sake. But among the lesser known facts about God would be how he has dealt with Israel at times when they were not satisfied with his provision. The following is an example:

They Craved Other Food

During the days of Moses, while God was providing for the physical needs of his people, the Israelites fell to a food temptation! [Food temptations are not readily mentioned, but several are: Adam and Eve (Gen. 3), Esau (Heb. 12:16), even the devil tempted Jesus to change stones into bread when he was hungry from fasting (Lk. 4:2-4).] In Moses’ day, a food temptation occurred while God was adequately and miraculously providing food (manna) six days a week for the Israelites. They were not satisfied with the taste of the miracle food and wanted meat to eat, which was very serious in God’s eyes:

If Only We Had Meat To Eat

The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost–also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!” The manna was like coriander seed and looked like resin. (Num 11:4-7)

The Miracle of The Quail

Now a wind went out from the LORD and drove quail in from the sea. It brought them down all around the camp to about three feet above the ground, as far as a day’s walk in any direction. All that day and night and all the next day the people went out and gathered quail. No one gathered less than ten homers. Then they spread them out all around the camp. But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague. Therefore the place was named Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food. (Num 11:31-34)

Fact About God: They Got The Food They Craved, Then Died

A definite little known fact about God is that he gave the rebellious what they craved, then he struck them dead! In their case it was food other than the abundant manna. He let them gather and hardly taste the quail, but then God killed them. Asaph, when summarizing Israel’s history, mentioned this same event and provided added insights:

They willfully put God to the test by demanding the food they craved. They spoke against God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the desert? When he struck the rock, water gushed out, and streams flowed abundantly. But can he also give us food? Can he supply meat for his people?” When the LORD heard them, he was very angry; his fire broke out against Jacob, and his wrath rose against Israel, for they did not believe in God or trust in his deliverance. Yet he gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens; he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven. Men ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat. He let loose the east wind from the heavens and led forth the south wind by his power. He rained meat down on them like dust, flying birds like sand on the seashore. He made them come down inside their camp, all around their tents. They ate till they had more than enough, for he had given them what they craved. But before they turned from the food they craved, even while it was still in their mouths, God’s anger rose against them; he put to death the sturdiest among them, cutting down the young men of Israel. (Psa 78:18-31)

It wasn’t God’s will for them to have meat to eat at that point, but God gave them what they craved to their own harm and destruction! That is one of the important facts about God, but little known.

Bible Mystery – Leviathan

The leviathan and behemoth are two strange ancient creatures acknowledged in the bible. Both are definite bible mysteries and mentioned in the book of Job. Especially leviathan was strange and furious.leviathan It was a snake-like sea monster with multiple heads!

It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.  It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert. (Psa 74:13,14)

Isaiah mentions leviathan too:

In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword, his fierce, great and powerful sword, Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea. (Isa 27:1)

Physical Appearance of Leviathan

At this point, we know this about leviathan. It:

* had multiple heads
* was a gliding and coiled serpent (snake-like)

The Awesome Leviathan

Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook or tie down his tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook? Will he keep begging you for mercy? Will he speak to you with gentle words? Will he make an agreement with you for you to take him as your slave for life? Can you make a pet of him like a bird or put him on a leash for your girls? Will traders barter for him? Will they divide him up among the merchants? Can you fill his hide with harpoons or his head with fishing spears? If you lay a hand on him, you will remember the struggle and never do it again! Any hope of subduing him is false; the mere sight of him is overpowering. (Job 41:1-9)

To this day the deep oceans and seas of our world have not been explored. We still don’t really know what is in them! Wouldn’t it be great, if one day the skeleton remains of leviathan were found as proof, for the skeptics? What all has transpired on this planet from when God created it to the present would surely be a mind-blow, if we knew.

Besides leviathan, the Nephilim are even more mysterious! Such Bible mysteries are not vital to know about in every detail, since they are not related to the salvation of the soul, the chief reason we have the Scriptures.
