Mariolatry is the idolatrous exaltation of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Such is commonplace in Catholicism. Part of the many ways Catholicism distorts God’s word to warp Mary’s true image is to present her sometimes as a type of the Ark of the Covenant, one of Mary’s many titles in Catholicism!
The original Ark of the Covenant, built by Bezelel, was a wooden box overlaid in gold and topped by the mercy seat with pure gold cherubim on it. The rationale in Catholicism is, since Mary was pregnant with Jesus (who is God in the flesh), then she was like a type of the Ark of the Covenant to have God in her physical body. Such reflects their Mariolatry, as does approving the demonic Fatima apparitions, canonizing Alphonsus Ligouri, the apostle of Mary, and receiving the papal statements that Mary is needed for our salvation!
Mary, The Ark of the Covenant – IMPOSSIBLE
It is an impossible, inconsistent conclusion to say Mary was the the Ark of the Covenant for various reasons:
(1) Neither the Lord Jesus, nor any of his followers (including Peter) ever considered Mary in that exalted way. Furthermore, there is NO hint in scripture that the righteous ever exalted Mary in any way above any other disciple!

(2) All of God’s children are the temple of God (Heb. 3:6; 1 Cor. 3:16,17) now. If Mary was the Ark of the Covenant because she housed Jesus while pregnant for 9 months, then ALL of God’s children are also the Ark of the Covenant because we now house God in our physical bodies and perhaps for many years. That alone nullifies Mary as the unique Ark of the Covenant, as portrayed by Catholicism.
Catholics need to adopt a Biblical view of things, which includes how God views Mary because she bore the baby Jesus and nursed him. Jesus himself clarifies that in a most powerful and distinct way, when correcting a Catholic-like woman in his day:
As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:27,28)
The doctrine of Mary in the Catholic church is idolatrous and violently different from Scripture! Mary is NOT the mediatrix and dispenser of all grace, nor is she “our life, sweetness and hope.” Reject Catholicism and all papal authority for your own SOUL’S sake!
