Jews For Jesus correctly identifies Jesus as Messiah, but opposes Jesus’ teaching on conditional salvation security! Jews For Jesus says they take the gospel to the lost, but avoids and denies 1 Cor. 15:2, the part of the gospel revealing the conditionality of salvation. Like so many other congregations and ministries, Jews For Jesus (and David Brickner, its executive director), is dangerously wrong and deceiving others! They have zeal without knowledge, which is a dangerous snare to people who believe them. WHY? Because the believer in Christ is not in heaven yet. Many things can and will occur over time to the believer, which could prove spiritually fatal. If he is not guarding his own heart, keeping himself pure, etc., he will join the loooong list of apostates and spiritual tragedies of the past. To examine King Solomon, King David and the Apostle Judas Iscariot alone is more than enough proof to reveal the possibility of the righteous turning from God and going back like a dog to its vomit (2 Peter 2:20-22), temporarily or permanently. Ezekiel made it clear that if a righteous man turns to evil he will die because of it (Ezek. 33:18)! Sad but true, it does happen and we must do our own part, as commanded, to stay saved. Jews For Jesus denies human responsibility and is compounding the problem, by fighting against such vital truths of God!

David Brickner of Jews For Jesus Mythical Security
David Brickner, a former Moody Bible Institute student openly taught his festering view of salvation security, which opposites the Lord Jesus Christ and his apostles:
Spiritual salvation is eternally secured through the indestructible power of God. (How To Save a Life by David Brickner, December 2014 Jews For Jesus )
That single sentence (or the like) is the kind of doctrinal poison that has destroyed many saints who were deceived by it! Though it is the popular doctrinal myth taught around the world, it is a snare to souls! Christians are commanded to contend against such a twisted version of grace (Jude 3,4).
As is typically done, David Brickner also cited John 10:28, the most common proof text for eternal security, in his article. Somehow David Brickner missed the object of verse 27 describing the ones who will never perish, who are given eternal life and are held securely in God’s hands. They are NOT backsliders! The wonderful promise of John 10:28 only applies to the continuous tense followers of Jesus ALONE.
Jesus Taught The Opposite of Jews For Jesus
From the four gospels through Revelation 2 and 3, the Lord Jesus himself single handedly smashed and pulverized the distorted gospel and mythical salvation security of Jews For Jesus, John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Joseph Prince and a long list of other false teachers! The Lord Jesus specifically did that in various ways, including:
- multiple parables (Mt. 25:1-13; 25:14-30; Luke 8:4-15; 12:42-46; 15:11-24; John 15:1-8; etc.)
- hell warnings given to his disciples (Mt. 10:33; 18:1-3; 18:8,9; Mk. 9:43-48; Rev. 2:10,11; etc.)
- his teachings about lust (Mt. 5:28,29), anger (Mt. 5:22) and unforgiveness (Mt. 6:14,15; 18:34,35), disowning him (Mt. 10:33), etc.
Jews For Jesus vs The Lord Jesus
On one occasion Jesus addressed his spiritual family and told them unless they change they would NOT enter God’s kingdom!
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Mat 18:1-3)
Clearly, that is NOT eternal security! The context of Mt. 18:1-3 has been ignored, probably intentionally, to help preserve the sin-gospel of our day, but the SALVATION truth connected to it is: Jesus told the saved they would NOT enter heaven unless they changed and became like little children. That implies they were NOT eternally secured through the indestructible power of God, as Jews For Jesus states! In fact, Jesus himself, who is the “power of God” (Col. 1:24), opposed the Jews For Jesus doctrine! Mt. 18:1-3 is an implied hell warning to the saved, because if you don’t enter God’s kingdom you go to fiery torment! In this regard, Jews For Jesus should be identified as Jews AGAINST Jesus!
