[Bible Question] I read what you sent [on infant baptism] and looked at the video, but I can’t find where baptism must be by immersion. Can you please sent the bible information on that? Thanks.
[Bible Answer] The problem here is not just immersion, but Christian baptism is to be given ONLY to believers in Jesus, which infants can’t be! ALL Christian baptism related verses easily show the latter. The former is shown by the meaning of the word “baptism” and verses like Acts 8:39, Mt. 3:16 and others:
When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. (Acts 8:39)
If sprinkling is baptism why go in the water? There would be no need to do that. Also notice:
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. (Mat 3:16)
After Jesus was baptized he went up out of the water, showing he was down under the water before that! His baptism was by immersion. [Also, he wasn’t baptized to get his sins forgiven since Jesus never had any sins (2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15; etc.).] Hope this helps and blesses you.
